In my review of David Horowitz’s book “The Professors: The 101 Most Dangerous Academics in America,” (Revolution #42) I sketched a picture of the wide range of basic facts and truths that could not be spoken on campus if Horowitz had his way.

Important Correction to Print Edition

There are two significant typographical errors in the article “Iran Maoists Hit Islamic Regime’s ‘Nuclear Posturing’” on page 11 of the print edition of Revolution issue #46 (May 14, 2006). We are responsible for these errors. The errors are not in the original article from Hagighat, publication of the Communist Party of Iran (Marxist-Leninist-Maoist), or in the abridged version distributed in the May 1, 2006 package from A World to Win News Service. To read the corrected version click here.

In the next to last paragraph of the article as it appears in our print edition, the third sentence reads: “We have a regime that cannot protect U.S. against foreign aggression and worse, wants to turn the people into cannon fodder for its own reactionary interests.” This should read: “We have a regime that cannot protect us against foreign aggression and worse, wants to turn the people into cannon fodder for its own reactionary interests.”

In the last paragraph of the article, the second sentence reads: “The world's people will rush to help U.S., and if the imperialists commit crimes against Iran, the people of those countries will support U.S. and our revolution.” This should read: “The world's people will rush to help us, and if the imperialists commit crimes against Iran, the people of those countries will support us and our revolution.”

Memoir Reading on Radio

Welcome Ferment on “Elite” Campuses

From programs and debate over the crimes of the Bush regime, to exposing attacks on evolution, to engaging around the actual experience of socialism and the nature of communism, fresh air is circulating in the ivory towers of “elite” U.S. universities. This is a heartening development.

This call is from The World Can't Wait—Drive Out the Bush Regime:

Mass Mobilization Thursday, October 5—Drive Out the Bush Regime!
The Bush Regime Must be Stopped!

On Thursday, OCTOBER 5TH 2006: All day and into the night, across the country, we must decidedly break the paralysis that still grips too much of American political life.
