The Whole Damn system is Guilty

The role of the police is not to serve and protect the people. It is to serve and protect the system that rules over the people. To enforce the relations of exploitation and oppression, the conditions of poverty, misery and degradation into which the system has cast people and is determined to keep people in. The law and order the police are about, with all of their brutality and murder, is the law and the order that enforces all this oppression and madness.

There will never be a revolutionary movement in this country that doesn't fully unleash and give expression to the sometimes openly expressed, sometimes expressed in partial ways, sometimes expressed in wrong ways, but deeply, deeply felt desire to be rid of these long centuries of oppression [of Black people]. There's never gonna be a revolution in this country, and there never should be, that doesn't make that one key foundation of what it's all about.

Message from "Mothers Against Police Brutality" in Dallas

"When "bad apples" shows us who they are by egregiously murdering our family members, we must have the courage to eradicate these officers who "kill" from our community."
Collette Flanagan

Mothers Against Police Brutality is the new voice for justice for victims of police brutality, excessive force and unjust murders by law enforce- ment. We are multi-racial, multi-ethnic

Coalition uniting mothers nationwide to fight for civil rights, police accountability and policy reform.

MAPB will be organizing a Hoodies Up Vigil in Dallas Texas on the 26th February at 4:30pm at Dealey Plaza (JFK Memorial) on Elm Street. This vigil is in honor of Trayvon and other Mothers' children whose lives were “stolen” by law enforcement.

This vigil is of the utmost importance in Dallas Texas, because over 68 unarmed Mothers' sons have been killed by Dallas policemen since 2001. Only one policemen has ever been indicted for killing these unarmed children in Dallas Texas (1973) and our Black leaders are silent on this atrocity. We are all Trayvon, all children murdered, at the hands of law enforcement or vigilantes are Trayvons.
