"I was raised in an environment in Corpus Christi where I wasn't exposed to racism ...until I came to the university of Houston where I was exposed to it and I just thought it was a disgrace that my people, African Americans and Latinos, have been put down. I believe that the younger generation, generation x, and y, should get together and fight. There's no need to back down. We need to fight and let society know that we're not happy. Racism needs to end now. "
