Japanese Driver Wins Indy 500 Car Race...
Then Racism Rears Its Ugly Head

After Takuma Sato won the prestigious Indianapolis 500 car race this year on May 28, Terry Frei, a columnist for the Denver Post, tweeted out, “Nothing specifically personal, but I am very uncomfortable with a Japanese driver winning the Indianapolis 500 during Memorial Day weekend.” Well, Terry, being specifically racist IS being specifically personal, not only to Takuma Sato but to all those who hunger for a world without oppression and white supremacy.
Frei made a feeble attempt to apologize while plugging his book and then was promptly fired by the Denver Post.
The Indy 500 is a purely Amerikkkan race. Before the race began this year, the military was front and center in playing music and singing patriotic songs. An enormous Amerikkkan flag flew behind the pace car that led the race cars in a lap before the race began.
The Indy 500 has been run every year since 1911, except for the four years during World War 2. Sato was the first Asian driver to win the race.
The election of Donald Trump has emboldened racists as they murder, attack, and send racist tweets to those who are not white. This shit has got to stop. People have to stand up to this, like those who did in Portland, and people need to get into the streets to put an end to this Trump/Pence regime that is perpetrating horrors on the people of the world.
