One Year Since the Louisville Police Murder of Breonna Taylor: Still NO Justice
| revcom.us
One year ago, on March 13, 2020, Louisville pigs suddenly forced their way into the apartment of Breonna Taylor, a 26-year-old Black woman who worked as an emergency technician, and killed her in a burst of gunfire. Six months later, the Kentucky attorney general announced a grand jury decision that held none of the cops involved in the raid accountable for Breonna’s murder. On the one year anniversary, people were out in the streets of Louisville and other cities around the country to demand justice for Breonna Taylor and other victims of murder by police. As Breonna’s mother, Tamika Palmer said, “She deserves justice—but there’s so many people that deserve justice.”
