Baltimore Protest vs. Murder by Police Shuts Down Highway 83

July 21, 2016 | Revolution Newspaper | revcom.us

In Baltimore, pig after pig has been exonerated in the police murder of Freddie Gray. On July 16—two days before the latest court decision letting one of the killers of Freddie Gray walk free (See "Freddie Gray Murder: Another Pig Walks Free")—dozens of people walked on to the Interstate 83 highway in the downtown area and blocked traffic. Police moved in and arrested 65 people—including protesters who had gathered at an on-ramp that had already been closed by the city for a nearby arts festival. Among those detained were 10 juveniles. People who were arrested said they were held in locked police vans—like the one the cops used to take Freddie Gray for a "rough ride"—for hours in sweltering heat. Several people became ill because of this. The Baltimore cops defended their piggish behavior and said the adults would be charged with "failure to obey and illegally walking on a highway."

Murdering pigs continue to walk free—while people righteously protesting these outrages are treated as "law breakers" and punished. This is totally unacceptable and illegitimate!

Indict, convict, send the killer cops to jail! The whole damn system is guilty as hell!

Yes there's a conspiracy, to get the cops off
