“I woke up to the most horrible news. 💔MINNEAPOLIS police Killed my uncle 💔MY uncle... Another black man lost his life in the hands of the police! … Minneapolis police has cost my whole family a big loss…”

This is what Darnella Frazier posted on Facebook after her uncle, Leneal Lamont Frazier, was killed by the wanton actions of Minneapolis police on July 7.

Many people remember Darnella Frazier as a real hero. On May 25, 2020, she courageously took a video of the vicious murder of George Floyd by Minneapolis pig, Derek Chauvin. She was 17 years old at the time. Because of the video, people across the U.S. and around the world saw how Chauvin cold-bloodedly killed George Floyd with a knee to his neck for nine minutes. And she was a key witness, this past March, in the trial that convicted Chauvin of murder.

On the stand, Darnella said she had been “haunted” by what she witnessed. She said, “When I look at George Floyd, I look at my dad, I look at my brothers, I look at my cousins, my uncles, because they’re all Black…. I look at how that could have been one of them.”

Now, Darnella’s uncle has died at the hands of the pigs. The Minneapolis police said that one of their cops was pursuing a driver who allegedly carjacked a vehicle involved in multiple robberies and then the cop hit another car, completely unrelated to the chase, killing 40-year-old Leneal Lamont Frazier. Darnella wrote, “It’s not fair how the police can just go around killing people… WHY ARE YOU DOING A HIGH SPEED CHASE ON A RESIDENTIAL RODE??? you took an innocent life trying to catch someone else…”

According to a 2015 analysis done by USA Today, more than 5,000 bystanders and passengers had been killed and tens of thousands more injured in police car chases since 1979. And as usual, another murdering pig walks free. The cop who caused the death of Leneal Lamont Frazier faces no charges or disciplinary action.

Leneal Frazier was a father of six, including an eight-month-old son, and had one grandchild. People say Leneal had an outgoing personality and a caring heart. A GoFundMe page to raise money for funeral expenses remembers Leneal as a “protector” who loved family, friends, and barbecuing. Cheryl Frazier, Leneal’s sister, said, “He was a very good person. He would help you if you needed help. He’ll give you the shirt off his back if he had to…. He was always that type of person.”

Darnella Frazier says that she is trying to “heal from something I am reminded of every day.”
