Dear Comrades,
The Revolutionary Communist Party, USA sends its red salute to this important milestone in the history of your Party.
Both our parties share a common enemy in the struggle against U.S. imperialism. For many decades the U.S. has been the main imperialist overlord of Turkey and has propped up a succession of reactionary regimes. In return, the ruling class of Turkey has pledged to help police the region on behalf of U.S. imperialism. Today this relationship of master and servant is taking on even more ominous proportions as the U.S. intends to again use Turkey as a base for its wars of aggression that it is actively planning.
Your Congress is taking place at an important time, not only for the revolution in Turkey but for the whole world proletarian revolution. The U.S. imperialist ruling class has declared a "war on terrorism" by which they intend to strike out at any and all forces who they believe challenge the interests of U.S. imperialism. No doubt great trials are ahead of us as well as real possibilities for revolutionary breakthroughs. The key to being able to face the challenges is Marxism-Leninism- Maoism.
For more than three decades since Ibrahim Kaypakkaya first set out the basic orientation for the revolution in Turkey as a protracted people's war, your Party, then known as the Communist Party of Turkey Marxist-Leninist, fought heroically under difficult conditions against imperialism, feudalism and bureaucrat capitalism and won the support of broad sections of the masses of your country.
Within the U.S. the vast majority of the people suffer under the rule of the U.S. imperialists and more and more of them are struggling against U.S. imperialist policy of war and aggression, in solidarity with the people of the world. Our Party is working to advance this struggle along with all of the fronts of struggle of the proletariat, oppressed peoples and progressive masses, as part of our work to hasten revolution in the U.S.
Our party has been observing and learning from the struggle your party has been waging against the TKP/ML opportunist clique which is upholding a line which has done great harm to the communist movement of Turkey for many years. We salute the victories you have won and are confident that this struggle will serve as a great school for the whole party to deepen its grasp of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism and help the party bring about a new upsurge of people's war. Your struggle against opportunism has also created more favourable grounds for uniting all of the genuine Marxist-Leninist-Maoists of your country into a single party centre.
Our party is proud to be united along with you as participants of the Revolutionary Internationalist Movement. We are sure that the victories of your Congress will certainly strengthen our unity even further in these critical times.
