On October 2, the Women’s March and other groups have called for powerful demonstrations all over the country in defense of abortion rights. These rights are under relentless attack—and since September 1 have been effectively taken away in Texas. This is the future that the fascist Republican Party and the courts they increasingly dominate are nailing down—a future that is not yet being resisted and opposed anywhere near firmly or defiantly enough. Everyone who cares about the emancipation of the half of humanity that is female should be at one of these marches on October 2 and make this a turning point in building relentless in-the-streets resistance.

►Why should I join the Break ALL the Chains Contingents, Unleash the Fury of Women as a Mighty Force for Revolution! on October 2?
HERE ARE THREE REASONS:
1. Because the right to abortion has effectively been taken away in Texas and the fascist Republican Party are moving to take away the right to abortion on a national level. RIGHT NOW, women's futures are being foreclosed, their dreams and lives shattered – forced to become mothers against their will and desires. The “handmaid’s tale” future is no longer science fiction but is now real and upon us. Forced motherhood is female enslavement. Christian Fascist Theocrats—Get Your Laws and Vigilantes Off Our Bodies!
If you join this contingent you are saying that you refuse to accept this and you will FIGHT it, and you will be calling on others to fight it.
2. Because Saturday, October 2 needs to be a turning point in building relentless in-the-streets resistance – not symbolic protest, raise your voice for an afternoon and go home. The Break ALL the Chains contingents will be loud, lively and defiant sending the message, and challenge: No going back! No surrender! Abortion on Demand and Without Apology!
You should come and recruit your friends to come because you are picking a side in the battle for the future which is already raging all around you.
3. Most important of all, because these contingents will lift people's sights and call them forward to get organized for a real revolution. We will march under the banner: Break ALL the Chains! Unleash the Fury of Women As a Mighty Force for Revolution!
Patriarchy and Capitalism: You Can’t End One Without Ending The Other—Revolution, Nothing Less! There is no other way besides this revolution to bring about a society where the right to abortion and women's basic humanity is never again “put up for a vote,” and where all oppression and exploitation is being dug up and overcome. We are in a rare time when this revolution has become possible. And right now, precisely as millions are reeling with shock at this fascist assault and the many other horrors ripping society apart, we not only need to—we can—make big advances in organizing for an actual revolution.

Los Angeles Contingent meets at 10am, Oct 2nd, 5th & Hill, Pershing Square in Downtown Los Angeles.
New York Contingent meets at 2 pm, at Centre St. and Worth St. entrance to Foley Square, Manhattan.
Chicago Contingent meets at 11am, Oct 2nd, near fountain west side of Daley Plaza.
Bay Area Contingent meets at 11am, Oct 2nd, Larkin and Grove in San Francisco.
Austin, Texas Contingent meets 8:45 am at Waterloo Park, 12th and Trinity

►What do I need to understand about the stakes of this attack on abortion?
You cannot break all the chains, except one. You cannot say you want to be free of exploitation and oppression, except you want to keep the oppression of women by men. You can't say you want to liberate humanity yet keep one half of the people enslaved to the other half. The oppression of women is completely bound up with the division of society into masters and slaves, exploiters and exploited, and the ending of all such conditions is impossible without the complete liberation of women. All this is why women have a tremendous role to play not only in making revolution but in making sure there is all-the-way revolution. The fury of women can and must be fully unleashed as a mighty force for proletarian revolution.
