Frustrated, Angry, “Berrned Out”…and Checking Out “Revolution—Nothing Less”

So I'm watching the DNC coverage, and tonight Bernie will formally, on the convention floor, capitulate to Hillary. I had the illusion that maybe, just MAYBE we can get a champion for the people in office. But of course, as we all now know, the DNC was in the bag for Hillary all along. She, not Trump, is the choice of the corporatocracy, of imperialism, of neoliberal economic policy at home, and neoconservative war policy abroad.
After this whole sordid affair, I am so DONE with politics-as-usual. Quite a few Bernie supporters are going to throw in with Jill Stein and the Greens. What good will THAT do? 3rd-party politics is but a safety valve, a way to let off steam and feel good about being a "bold progressive" but in the end, accomplishing nothing.
I've known about the RCP for many years, I remember back in the day when the paper Revolutionary Worker had the slogan "Create Public Opinion—Seize Power!" I've always been a revolutionary (OK, a not very good one) but I thought the Party was too "authoritarian" and a "personality cult". Now I'm reconsidering a LOT of what I believed to be "true."
Seeing the U.S. flag burn in CLE during the RNC inspired me. I'm 57 years old, and have a lot more yesterdays behind me than I do have tomorrows, but I want to live long enough to see this whole rotten edifice come crashing DOWN. I'm convinced now, that for the sake of planetary survival, the American government must go. It can't be reformed, it can't be bargained with, and it sure as fuck won't change if we're polite and civil. No more.
So call me "Berrned out." Right now I am frustrated, I am angry, and I don't care if there's only less than 200 of us right now (if that few, I could be wrong).
I ordered the DVD set "Revolution—Nothing Less!" a week ago, and eagerly looking forward to it arriving. Maybe Chairman Bob's got it, I don't know. I do know that things cannot keep going the way they have been. The Party has been around since 1975. Over 40 years. We haven't the luxury of time. The tipping point is coming, nobody knows where or when. I just want to be ready when it does come. This website is helping me in my education, and look forward to learning and doing more.
