REVOLUTION #12:
Madness—and getting beyond all this madness

Things have become so crazy in this country that there can’t even be a Super Bowl championship celebration without a shooting taking place! This kind of mass shooting goes on constantly, and it really seems that there is nowhere safe—for kids in schools, for people generally.

Obviously, this craziness is making life even more difficult for masses of people. And there is no good answer to this under this system of capitalism-imperialism: It is the very conditions and the culture caused and promoted by this system that is the fundamental reason for all this craziness.

This is part of the larger situation in this country where things are becoming more and more unsettled and chaotic, with frequent “disruptions” of the “normal” way things have been—a “normal way” which has already been full of very real horrors for masses of people in this country and for humanity as a whole.

And there is this important truth: As the “normal way” society has been ruled is failing to hold things together—and society is increasingly being ripped apart—this can shake people’s belief that “the way things have always been” is the only way things can be. It can make people more open to questioning—in a real sense it can force people to question—the way things have been, and whether they have to stay that way. This brings up the big question of whether there is a whole different way that society could be organized and people could relate to each other, without all the madness and suffering that is caused by this system of capitalism-imperialism that we are now forced to live under.

With all the bitter hardship of daily life for so many, and the madness going on in the larger society and world, there is a way out—through a revolution to sweep away this system and bring something much better into being—and this is a rare time when that revolution is actually possible. I have spoken to this in my previous messages; and I will be continuing to get into this further in future messages.
