Bob Avakian has sharply expressed this profound reality: We can no longer afford to allow these imperialists to continue to dominate the world and determine the destiny of humanity. And it is a scientific fact that humanity does not have to live this way—a whole different way to organize society, a whole better world, is possible. 

Shaping up before us now are two fundamentally opposed futures: Something Terrible, Or Something Truly Emancipating. And this truth rings out now more powerfully than ever: Which future we get depends to a great extent on what we do.

So we are determined:

• To seize on this “rare time” to develop the basis to actually make revolution—to finally defeat the violent enforcers of this monstrous system. This means organizing for this revolution now, among the most bitterly oppressed, and from all parts of society, first in the thousands and then in the millions, and doing so consistently with a country-wide perspective... politically impacting all of society and changing the terms of how masses of people see things and how every institution in society has to respond... developing the conscious, organized revolutionary forces to the point where, with millions won to revolution, it will then be possible to have a real chance to win.

• To abolish this system, with all its oppressive institutions, and its governing U.S. Constitution—a document written by, and fundamentally serving the interests of, slave-owning and capitalist exploiters, from the founding of this country down to today—a document that restricts the notion of “freedom” to what is possible within the killing confines of this system of brutal exploitation and murderous oppression.

• To establish a far better system, based on the Constitution for the New Socialist Republic in North America, written by Bob Avakian—which provides a sweeping vision, a firm foundation and concrete blueprint for bringing into being a society, and ultimately a world, free from all forms of slavery, all exploitation and oppression based on class, race, sex, and gender, all relations in which one part of humanity is subordinated to and dominated by others. This socialist system, in uprooting the capitalist-imperialist system in this country and supporting revolutionary struggle in the world as a whole, will create a realistic possibility, and will move systematically and effectively, to address the already acute and fast accelerating environmental crisis, while also moving to abolish nuclear weapons, with the ultimate goal of finally abolishing wars among human beings, with the abolition of the capitalist-imperialist system, and all systems and relations of exploitation and oppression, which are the basis for wars.

We have the method, strategy and plan to make this real. 

Basing ourselves on the scientific method of the new communism, we actively apply the strategic approach of Fight the Power, and Transform the People, for Revolution: involving masses of people in rising up to resist the continuing crimes of this system, and defending people from attacks on their rights and their lives by racist, woman-hating and anti-LGBTQ thugs, in and out of government... winning people to the scientific understanding that we do not have to live this way—that this system of capitalism-imperialism is the root cause and fundamental source of all the unnecessary suffering that masses of people are subjected to, here and throughout the world, and poses a growing threat to the very existence of humanity through the accelerating destruction of the environment and increasing danger of nuclear war—and that we need to, and can, bring a whole different and much better system and world into being through revolution.

Knitting this together and providing leadership to the broad masses of people and the organized forces of the revolution are the website revcom.us and the YouTube show, The RNL—Revolution, Nothing Less!—Show, which feature the ongoing strategic leadership of Bob Avakian. 

In this way, we are working to carry out the three prepares: prepare the ground (the necessary conditions for revolution); prepare the people, in the millions, for this revolution; and prepare the leadership, in the thousands, based on the new communism, that is necessary in order for this revolution to succeed.

And this year, as a crucial part of carrying out this strategy, we are determined to “put revolution on the map” in a major way, so that throughout society people will know about this revolution and its leadership, and growing numbers of people will be drawn to becoming part of the revolution.

We are the revcoms. For all the reasons spoken to here, we are seriously working for, and we will settle for nothing less than, this real revolution—and we are calling on YOU to become part of this emancipating revolution.
