Fascist Responses to Kirk Assassination: “We are at war”

The People's Response Must Be No! In the name of humanity, we refuse to accept a fascist America.

Following Charlie Kirk’s assassination and Trump’s statement attacking the “radical left,” there has been a flood of calls from fascists for seizing the moment to call for a violent leap in repression. This is directed against everyone opposed to Trump/MAGA fascism: top leaders in the Democratic Party, organizations that fight for people's rights, and individuals who are speaking out and organizing against Trump's fascist remaking of society.

We'll share here just a few examples. And we want to say three things about this:

1. These fascist threats need to be taken very seriously—with everyone prepared to stand with and defend anyone under fascist attack. We need to unite all who can be united, overcoming Trump's repressive moves and overcoming divide-and-conquer schemes. The suppression of dissent and gutting of the rule of law is essential to ramming through with their whole fascist program. This must be opposed.

2. Do not be intimidated by these fascist threats. This regime needs you to be isolated and afraid! Don't allow it. Those who stand together against this fascism have right on our side, there are more of us than them and we are acting in the interests of humanity. 

3. Everyone who refuses to let these fascists have the future needs to double down in our efforts to defeat this fascism the only way it can be: taking up the call initiated by RefuseFascism.org and open to everyone, for millions to amass in Washington, DC on November 5 in nonviolent sustained protest.

As the Call from Refuse Fascism for November 5 says:

Fascism is not a looming threat. It is upon us now.

Humanity’s only hope is for the decent people of this country to rise in our millions. We cannot wait for future and rigged elections. We must drive the Trump Fascist Regime from power.

Beginning November 5, the one-year anniversary of Trump’s election, flood DC in nonviolent protest.

We are at a turning point in history. The capitalist-imperialist system is a horror for billions of people here and around the world and threatening the very fabric of life on earth. Now the election of fascist Trump poses even more extreme dangers for humanity—and underscores the total illegitimacy of this system, and the urgent need for a radically different system.
