From the International Emergency Campaign to Free Iran’s Political Prisoners Now

Sights and Sounds of Jina Uprising Anniversary Actions Worldwide

Revcom.us editors' note: We received this from the International Emergency Campaign to Free Iran’s Political Prisoners Now (IEC).

Below are just a few of the more significant events by independent forces around the world to mark the one-year anniversary of the murder of Mahsa Jina Amini that sparked the months-long uprising for "Women, Life, Freedom" in Iran. These are just a few of the scores of the events marking this anniversary that happened across the world. It is not meant to be comprehensive, and there may be more to post on developments inside Iran in the weeks ahead.

Night March, Germany

Feminist and other independent organizations held vibrant marches in several cities of Europe. Below is one on the night of September 15 in Germany, organized by several left-wing radical feminist collectives in solidarity with the Jina Uprising. Feminist Internationalists from Sudan, Afghanistan, Syria and Kurdish groups read solidarity statements.
