"Woke" Lunacy vs REAL REVOLUTION-headline from leaflet

graphic Sunsara Taylor campus tour woke lunacy vs real revolution

Sunsara turned woke-ness on its head and made it feel comical. She was inspiring. Instead of crawling in the dirt, cancelling and obsessing over identity, she lifted our sights to a real revolution that sets all of humanity free. Afterwards, a throng of young people formed around Sunsara to keep talking and just touch her fearlessness.” –an attendee at Sunsara Taylor’s speech in Berkeley

In a time of rapid change—rising MAGA fascism, threat of nuclear war between US and Russia or China, worsening climate catastrophe, intensifying oppression of Black people, immigrants, women and LGBTQ people—young people need to be looking at the big picture, seeking out root causes and actual solutions. Instead, "woke" identity politics is shutting down questioning, lowering people's sights, destructively misdirecting their outrage and contributing to the nightmare.

Bob Avakian has deeply analyzed the perniciousness of “wokeness” and cancel culture, where it came from, and how to win people away from it in the service of making a liberating revolution that puts an end to oppression and exploitation in every form. Rooting themselves in this work, Rooting themselves in this work, Sunsara Taylor, Rafael Kadaris, and the Revcoms are out to demolish the whole framework of "woke" identity politics, lift people's sights, and win growing numbers to a scientific approach and to real revolution.

"Woke" Lunacy vs. Real Revolution —
A Speech by Sunsara Taylor (SPEECH + Q&A)

Sunsara Taylor is a fighter for a real revolution based on the new communism developed by Bob Avakian. She is a co-host of the The RNL—Revolution, Nothing Less!—Show. She has been on the frontlines for women's liberation since the 1990s and co-founded Rise Up 4 Abortion Rights which led tens of thousands into the streets in 2022 to fight the Supreme Court's overturning of Roe v Wade.

Rafael Kadaris is a revolutionary communist, a correspondent with The RNL Show, and a follower of the revolutionary leader Bob Avakian. He has been fighting against U.S. imperialist wars, murder by police, and attacks on immigrants since the early 2000s. He is known for verbal sparring, taking on MAGA fascists, Democrats, wokesters, and phony "socialists." Most recently he and other revcoms made international news burning the U.S. flag at fascist country singer Jason Aldean's concert in Chicago.
