Living under this system has always been a nightmare for women and the vast majority of humanity. Now the system is in crisis: We can and need to overthrow it and create another, much better world. There is tremendous latent revolutionary potential among women and others to do so. We have seen this in marches of hundreds of thousands, in the rebellion against femicide and male supremacy and with women in the front lines against many other horrors of this system, demanding justice and liberation. Now fascism in the United States and other countries intensifies the most blatant and violent patriarchal oppression, reinforced by religious fundamentalism and its medieval morality. This is horrifying, but it also opens up rifts among those at the top and fuels discontent and rebellion among those at the bottom. Women will play a decisive role in defeating this fascism and sweeping away the capitalist system that spawned it. Let us fight now to forge a conscious, organized force armed with the scientific understanding necessary to lead the masses to overthrow capitalism and create a very different and much better society.
Fascism led by Donald Trump is shaking the world. This is a dictatorship that strips away the “democratic” guise of the capitalist-imperialist system and imposes a drastic increase in the repression and suffering of women, migrants, LGBTQ people, oppressed peoples, and the poor in general, not only in the United States but worldwide. This intensifies capitalist plunder, unbridled imperialist expansionism, genocide of Palestinians, and the onslaught on the environment. This increases the real danger of another world war between imperialists that could lead to the extinction of humanity.

Protests against fascist attacks are growing in the U.S., but much more is needed. Bob Avakian and the RevCom have called and joined other forces in a fight to defeat this fascism before it consolidates its total control, creating a movement so powerful that it provokes a deep political crisis that prevents Trump from governing and implementing his fascist program. We need to support this fight in Mexico and around the world, for the emancipation of humanity.
Down with the Collaboration of the Mexican Government!
Despite its phony nationalist rhetoric, the Sheinbaum government [in Mexico] calls for collaboration and in fact collaborates with the fascist Trump government, sending 10,000 National Guard troops to the northern border to repress and deport more migrants, after having killed eight in Chiapas and Chihuahua (in October 2024). But Trump’s threats continue: Not only with tariffs, but also military intervention. The U.S. has at least 3,000 soldiers on the border and 18 spy flights have already been reported over the Gulf of California. They threaten direct military intervention “against the drug cartels” with the real objective of further strengthening their control over the cartels and over Mexico.
Stop the Femicides! Exemplary Punishment for the Rapists in the Military!
The Mexican government cynically speaks of “women’s time” and the “year of the indigenous women” while shamelessly protecting the soldiers who beat and gang-raped Ernestina Ascencio Rosario, a 73-year-old Nahuatl woman, in the Sierra de Zongolica, Veracruz, in 2007. Four federal governments, from the PAN, the PRI and two from Morena [all three major political parties in Mexico], have covered up the soldiers who committed this crime and denied any responsibility of the Army. Relatives, their lawyers, women activists, peasants from the region, journalists, and people throughout the country continue to denounce this murder and demand justice.
No Mexican government allowed her daughter, Martha Inés Asencio, to even testify. Until this year, she was finally able to testify before the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. She said that she found her mother lying on the ground 300 meters from the military camp, badly beaten and with her skirt up. She told the Court that “the soldiers jumped on her.” Ernestina told her daughter: “It was the soldiers, my dear granddaughter. They attacked me, they played with my honor as a woman. They covered my mouth.” Ernestina only received medical attention 10 hours later and died in the hospital the next day. The doctors who treated her indicated that the cause of her death was sexual assault. Even so, the representative of the Mexican government has the nerve to say before the Court that “There is no evidence” against the Army!
We Need and Can Create a New Way of Living
There is no need for the world to continue like this. With a real revolution, everything would be completely different. The people could create security forces that would really protect them, instead of military and police forces that are rapists, murderers and defenders of the capitalist system. The knowledge and technology that already exists would be used to satisfy the basic needs of everyone on this planet, as well as resources for everyone for cultural, intellectual, artistic, scientific and recreational activities. It is absurd and criminal that more than 500,000 children died of diarrhea in the world last year (WTO figure)! It is intolerable and there is no reason for the terrible patriarchal violence to continue, the brutal beatings, the murder of 10 women every day in Mexico, the disappearance of 12,500 people in 2024, more than 3,700 of them women: a total of 20 compañeras who we lose every day. We will be able to stop the forced displacement of tens of thousands of indigenous people from their communities by capitalist projects and criminal gangs that control and destroy their lands, water and forests. We need and can create a completely different way of organizing society, with an economy and political system geared to meet the needs and fulfilling the highest interests of the masses, creating a new culture and new relationships between people that are radically different and inspiring.
The world today is so oppressive, unjust and cruel for one fundamental reason: Because of the global capitalist-imperialist system in which a small class of billionaires exploits and oppresses women, men, girls and boys around the world, controls the wealth they produce and invests it in more exploitation, according to what will give them the greatest profit. This shackle of capitalism must be broken through a real revolution and a new, much better socialist liberating society must be created.
Now the capitalist system has gone so far as to try to impose fascism in the U.S. and other countries, which highlights its completely rotten, outdated and illegitimate nature. Clashes between superpowers and other reactionary governments are growing, infighting between the rich and powerful is intensifying as their blood crimes against the people increase, from Gaza to Sudan, from Ukraine to the Río Bravo / Grande. We are living and will live through greater clashes and upheavals under this obsolete and oppressive system that bring not only more suffering but also greater possibilities to overthrow it through revolution.
Support and Learn from the Courageous Struggle of Women in Iran
In the struggle for this liberating revolution, we can and must learn from the heroic struggle of women in Iran. From the dungeons of Iran’s fundamentalist and misogynistic regime, resistance and voices of revolution are growing. In 2022, a rebellion against patriarchal oppression shook the country when the “morality” police beat Jina Mahsa Amina, a young Kurdish woman, to death for not fully covering her hair. The uprising lasted five months, until the Islamic State brutally suppressed it, killing more than 500 people and imprisoning 22,000. But resistance continues—in appalling conditions and in the face of atrocious repression. The regime hangs more than two prisoners a day. But every week, there are hunger strikes and “No Execution Tuesday” protests in 51 prisons across Iran. Women and men prisoners, with support from movements outside the country, have achieved some important victories. They have won the release of some political prisoners and at least the revocation of the death penalty for others, such as Toomaj Salehi, a rebel rapper who supported the Women, Life, Freedom uprising and continues to do so from prison.
As Somayeh Kargar, a former political prisoner who speaks for the Communist Party of Iran (Marxist-Leninist-Maoist) (cpimlm.org), says, the struggle needs to be carried out “outside the framework of this system, to become a struggle that paves the way for the liberation of all the people of Iran and the world, in the form of socialist revolution throughout the world. It must fight and push back the enemy and simultaneously change people’s thinking—to break the intellectual and ideological obedience to the system and develop a scientific way of seeing and analyzing reality, paving the way for the overthrow of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This struggle needs to be developed in a way that teaches people how to think, how to fight, and how to become the owners and administrators of society in a socialist tomorrow.”
And this is the struggle that needs to take place everywhere, against the capitalist system in all countries. The Revolution Movement and the Revolutionary Communist Organization call on all people who want to fight for that liberating tomorrow to organize with us to change the world.
