Los Angeles, March 10—As Israel escalates its U.S.-backed genocidal slaughter and starvation of Palestinians, The Revcom Corps for the Emancipation of Humanity joined protests called by Jewish Voice for Peace, Filmmakers for Palestine, and SAG-AFTRA Members for Ceasefire to keep ALL EYES ON RAFAH outside the Academy Awards. Almost 1,000 people marched through the streets, snarling traffic and even delaying the awards ceremony.
Inside, Jonathan Glazer (director of The Zone of Interest) gave an important speech objecting to "Jewishness and the Holocaust being hijacked by an occupation." And a number of actors and artists wore Artists for Ceasefire pins. But overall there was way too little protest and way too much silence about the genocide being backed by their government.
The Revcom Corps for the Emancipation of Humanity united with this righteous protest and also challenged people there with the powerful and clarifying truth from revolutionary leader Bob Avakian's social media account @BobAvakianOfficial about Palestine, U.S. imperialism, and the revolutionary solution.
