Be part of the $100,000 revcom fund drive: Donate to Bring About a Whole Different World

On May 16, Andy Zee gave a powerful and moving talk on the We Are The Revcoms proclamation at Revolution Books in Harlem NYC. Following his talk and some lively discussion, there was a fund pitch calling on people to donate to the $100,000 revcoms fund drive. This is a slightly edited version of that fund pitch.

The Revcoms have launched an ambitious $100,000 Summer Solstice Fund Drive, and we are asking people to donate generously to this movement.

On May 1st this year, two significant things happened—first the very good thing. A determined revolutionary force stepped off into the streets around the country—Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, and here in NYC. With this Proclamation that We Are the Revcoms, declaring that we ARE putting revolution on the map in 2023, and this was the first step in doing that.

But also there was a tragedy—Jordan Neely, a homeless street artist, was callously murdered in the subway, choked from behind by Daniel Penny, an ex-Marine, trained to kill by the U.S. military. This was horrific, but another heartbreaking thing happened—no one in the subway car came to his rescue.

As someone commenting on the murder of Jordan Neely put it, in a very real way, we are all on that subway car with Jordan Neely and Daniel Penny. There are two futures. Each of us has to make a decision of what we are going to do—sit by, allowing and therefore contributing to something terrible, OR fight for a whole different future. You can be part of fighting for that truly liberating future which we can bring about with revolution by donating to this movement.

You are supporting things like Sunsara Taylor’s campus speaking tour “'Woke' Lunacy vs. Real Revolution," taking on the dead-end and extremely harmful “woke-ism” which infects and infests our whole society. Read her letter explaining what this tour is doing and why.

You are supporting the revolutionary force which is out there struggling with the youth who have no future in this society, to get into this revolution.

You are supporting a force fighting for a different morality and standing up against the fascists, standing with the immigrants at the border, and on the buses, and in the shelters, and on the streets of the cities of this country as part of building for a revolution.

And you are supporting and becoming a part of a force across this whole country which stands with the people of the world—from Haiti to Iran, from Congo to Venezuela. You are part of this, We Are the Revcoms, led by Bob Avakian, and supporting it with your generous donations.

*These funds will enable word of the revolution to get out broadly into society through getting out this Proclamation in the tens of thousands so that people will have a chance to learn about this revolutionary force THEY could be part of which is organizing THE way out of this madness and a way to understand WHY this is happening.

*These funds will support the website and The RNL—Revolution, Nothing Less!—Show, which provide leadership and guidance to people and build revolutionary networks across the country.

*The funds will be used to spread the leadership of Bob Avakian (BA) and the new communism he has developed in many more creative and bold ways.

*Raising funds is part of building networks of support for now and for the future when the question is fighting to seize power. You will be contributing as you are learning more about this revolution and the new society we are aiming for. And all of this is heightened in this moment, this rare time, in which revolution is actually more possible.

This campaign is aiming for $100,000 in just a few weeks to make all of this possible. All donations are welcome—give $5 or $500 or $5,000—but donate based on the great need, not on what you “won’t miss.”

Finally, there is a livestream Sunday, June 4, for this $100,000 fundraising campaign. Mark it on your calendar, tune in to the YouTube channel of the revcoms and send in your statements and donations. You will get to hear from the National Tour to Get Organized for an ACTUAL Revolution and the Revolution Club in LA—what they are doing, their stories, people they are meeting and the responses they are getting, and there will be clips from BA and The RNL Show. It promises to be a lot of fun as well as very serious about revolution.

Fundamentally, you are donating funds to bringing about a whole different world through revolution. Thank you for your donations supporting this movement now and in the future.

Will you give generously to something that can make all the difference—a fund drive to put real revolution on the map on a scale not seen in decades, if ever, in the history of this country?

The existential climate crisis… the threat of nuclear war… police murder… rape and brutality against women… the horrific refugee crisis… this system has no good answers for these crises. In an interview on The RNL—Revolution, Nothing Less!—Show, Bob Avakian (BA) says “We can no longer afford to allow these imperialists to dominate the world and to determine the destiny of humanity. They need to be overthrown as quickly as possible.”

As part of this fund drive, your donation will go to meet the ongoing needs to produce this website, This website provides a unique analysis of major events and trends. It is where you go to find out why a real revolution is urgently needed; why that revolution is possible–especially in this time; the goals of this revolution; and how to be part of building for it. This is where you go to find the major works of Bob Avakian.

Your donation will also give an immediate boost to promote the “game changing” Bob Avakian Interviews on The RNL—Revolution, Nothing Less!—Show very broadly in society. And also expand production and promotion of The RNL—Revolution, Nothing Less!—Show—the national YouTube voice of the Revcoms.

Plus, your donation will support the group of tested revolutionary leaders and a cohort of committed young revolutionaries who have concentrated in Los Angeles to develop a model of putting revolution on the map that can be replicated and grow nationally.
