A Brief Word on Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin

Just as the depraved police murder of Tyre Nichols demonstrates once again the bankruptcy of insistence on BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) leadership1—which fails (or refuses) to recognize the fundamentally oppressive nature of this system of capitalism-imperialism, which the police serve and protect with unrestrained violence, regardless of the “identity” of particular police—the same applies to the role and actions of the first Black U.S. Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, with his extremely dangerous war talk and actions on behalf of the very same system which, by its very nature, subjects Black people, along with masses of other oppressed people in this country, and billions throughout the world, to horrific oppression and devastation, and threatens the very existence of humanity not only through its ongoing and accelerating destruction of the environment but now also through the immediately increasing danger of war among nuclear-armed imperialist powers, in particular the U.S., Russia and China.

Revcom.us posts BA’s timely leadership for the revcoms (revolutionary communists), including his social media posts which break this down for people every week and sometimes more. We act as a guiding and connecting hub for the growing revcom movement nationwide: not just showing what’s being done, but going into what’s right and what’s wrong and rapidly learning—and recruiting new people into what has to be a rapidly growing force.

Put it this way: there will be no revolution unless this website not only “keeps going” but goes up to a whole different level!
