To Comrades hosting the September 17, fund raiser to put REVOLUTION on the map in 2023

I had been waiting in tremendous anticipation (and some concern) for days, once I heard that the Revolution Club in Chicago had issued a call to call out that fascist wannabe thug Jason Aldean right out in front of the concert arena where he was bringing his lynch mob shit show in Tinley Park, outside Chicago. I scoured social media (and traditional media) immediately afterwards for news of the action. As I read and watched the footage of the action outside the concert, watched the bloody red, white and blue rag torn and burned, listened to the chants and the powerful commentary from Rafael Kadaris and others, I just pounded the table in front of me, YES! YES! YES! It literally brought tears of joy to my eyes.... Read more

Flagburning at Jason Aldean concert, Tinley Park.

“It needs to be firmly grasped that in taking this stand, the sisters and brothers were acting in the interests of literally billions of people around the planet...”

First time donation from an attorney

We received a donation from an attorney, first time donor.  He has been reading the Constitution for the New Socialist Republic in North America, first reading the Preamble and then rushing straight to the section on uprooting the oppression of Black people. He was struck by how this Constitution spells out the specifics of what we are going to do to actually uproot all oppression.

In making the decision to donate to the revcoms, he struggled over whether his money should go instead to the left-wing democrats. But in the end he looked at how fast things are moving in the wrong direction, including with SCOTUS. He felt he could not put all his hopes and funds into that route.  He decided to donate $1200 to the revcoms.

From a member of the Chicago Revolution Club who painted a picture of the burning of the flag and donated to the Livestream:

My statement: The action of burning the American flag outside Jason Aldean’s concert is a inspiring crucial step in leading people to not accept the soul crushing and suffocating terms that the fascists in and out of office have been and are determined to keep people who are not who they deem illegitimate locked down and locked out and worse. The Democrats have no answer other than to tell people that their only hope is to vote. And the Democrats while not fascist want to hold on to the norms. Norms which keep police murder of Black, Brown, and Native people going. Norms that keep the destruction of the planet going. Norms that keep wars for empire that destroy the lives of the majority of the planet going even to the brink of nuclear catastrophe. Norms that keep people with no option but to flee their homeland going. No one should want to accept these terms any longer. Repolarization is needed. People need Revolution and people need to get with this Revolution with the whole world in mind as Bob Avakian has often pointed out. The revcoms were doing just that at the Jason Aldean concert. This action deserves to be memorialized in an artistic and poetic revolutionary spirit.

From a $100 Donor:

In response to an Instagram post she received which said:  "Re the flag burning at the Jason Aldean concert, yes the understanding of what imperialism is accurate BUT aren't you getting a bit tired of the constant theatrics and perfermative protests."

Her answer is to give $100 to Rafael Kadaris' plane fare, with this statement:

"What I am tired of is pessimism at such a deadly hour. Hundreds can transform to thousands, then millions - conditions can evolve quickly. This is a force fighting for humanity. Fighting for the new communism of Bob Avakian. Putting revolution on the map. THAT'S precisely what's needed."

From Hawaii $100:

Hundreds of thousands are righteously marching to save the planet today.  Cheers to the revcoms for bringing revolution—the only way we can save the planet—into the mix! Capitalism/imperialism is destroying the planet! Only a real revolution can save it!

from Hawaii with $100:

Such a breath of fresh air in the stultifying atmosphere of electoral politics and culture of self-absorption. Go Revcoms, go!

From a $75 donor:

Watching the Amerikkan flag, that symbol of oppression, go up in flames was so inspiring.

$25 earmarked for putting revolution on the map in this country in a big way

I just made a donation of $25 to be earmarked for today's Livestream of putting revolution on the map in this country in a big way. The challenge that the RevComs issued at the fascist Jason Aldean's show outside of Chicago recently was unprecedented and much needed, and more actions like this is valuable and goes a huge way towards putting revolution on the map in a big way. It shows people that there is a third pole of revolutionary forces with a real program which presents a much different future from that of fascists like Trump and Jason Aldean or that of the capitalist-imperialists like Biden, who want to continue ruling in the same old way, but can't do so and also represent threats and horrors to humanity. Both are outmoded and we can work to end this system which has no future for the planet and humanity.

Cleveland Street Sale: Raising Funds and Spreading the Revolution

From readers

A group of revcom supporters in Cleveland was brainstorming for ways to continue raising significant funds after the summer livestream. Inspired by the report from the Chicago yard sale, we decided we could do something like that here. We set goals to raise at least $1,000, to involve people new to the revolution and people with big differences with the revcoms but supportive of the need for society-wide debate over revolution in each step, and to make every aspect of the sale serve bringing forward a revolutionary people....
