The International Emergency Campaign (IEC), together with many justice-loving voices worldwide, demand that Iran’s Islamic regime release rapper Toomaj Salehi from its bloody claws—immediately and unconditionally!

MANY MORE VOICES NEED TO BE RAISED, NOW.  TOOMAJ’S LIFE HANGS IN THE BALANCE.

SPREAD THIS FIGHT AND SAVE THE LIFE OF THIS PEOPLE’S ARTIST AND ACTIVIST.

Toomaj was kidnapped and brutally beaten by the regime’s security thugs at midnight on Sunday, October 30. He has been severely tortured since. The “Police Center for Moral Security and Public Places” forced a televised “confession” from their jail on Rudaki Street in the city of Isfahan.

The regime broadcast the lie that he was attempting to flee the country and was arrested near Iran’s western border. In fact, he was nowhere near the border, but in his own house when they arrested him and some friends. He had not left Iran, even after the IRI imprisoned him for his dissident music in September 2021, and later released him on bail due to widespread protests of his arrest. As he became an increasingly popular artist, he could have joined family and friends in Europe.

But Toomaj has remained in Iran and stayed connected to the streets and provided supportive rap soundtracks to the righteous rebellion sparked by the state murder of Mahsa Amini and so many others since. He has over 600,000 followers on Instagram. Before Toomaj was born, his dad was also a political prisoner in Iran, and he never compromised with the Islamic fascist theocrats during eight years of imprisonment.
