While Israel continues to bomb and starve the Palestinian people in Gaza, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (aka Netan-Nazi) issued an ominous threat to the nearly one million Palestinians in Gaza sheltering in Gaza City. He first bragged about destroying 50 high-rise apartment buildings—leaving over 50,000 people homeless, and destroying the Gaza City skyline. Netan-Nazi then warned: 

All this is only an introduction, opening act to the powerful main act, which is a ground maneuver of our forces, who are now assembling and organizing, into Gaza City. And this is why I say to the residents of Gaza, I take this opportunity — listen carefully: You have been warned. Leave now.¹

The next day, Netanyahu, speaking at the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem, again praised Trump’s plan to ethnically cleanse Palestinians from Gaza, and rebuild it into a high-tech imperialist economic center and luxury vacation destination, a so-called “Riviera of the Middle East,” as Trump put it.

This is exactly what is unfolding at accelerating speed in Gaza right now—violent, genocidal ethnic cleansing, with full U.S. support.²

Some of the horrifying dimensions of this criminal assault over the past week include:

Demanding Hundreds of Thousands Evacuate—with Nowhere to Go

The week began with Israel issuing orders that all residents of Gaza City leave their homes, under threat of death. This is itself outrageous and illegitimate—demanding people give up their homes, their friends, their communities, their belongings, knowing Israel will likely demolish them so they can never return. Hundreds of thousands have been forced to collect whatever belongings they can carry or stuff into a vehicle and trek miles though stifling heat and a devasted, dangerous hellscape. And all the while, those fleeing can hear the echo of Israeli airstrikes and sniper fire. 

Israel is demanding that the former residents of Gaza City go to al-Mawasi, a thin strip of barren land along the coast which Israel has designated as a so-called "humanitarian zone." But some 800,000 Palestinians are already tightly packed into al-Mawasi. And this is no "safe zone!" Israel has struck Al-Mawasi with bombs and missiles over 109 times, killing over 2,000 people and setting tents ablaze.

There is no safe place or "humanitarian zone" in the hellscape which the U.S. and Israel have turned Gaza into.

One Palestinian who fled to al-Mawasi with his family said that even at the risk of death, he and his family are returning to Gaza City, "I went to al-Mawasi, but the costs were too high. ... We stayed two days. During that time, the tent next to us was bombed, even in what they call a safe zone. There was no safety. It’s all lies. At first, I believed them, but I realized it was better to return to Gaza City. If they’re going to kill me, may as well be in Gaza City, rather than risk everything in al-Mawasi."

This past week Israel opened up new “safe zones,” doubling their area to perhaps 25 percent of Gaza’s land. This isn’t an act of humanitarianism. It’s aimed at moving and confining Palestinians in southern Gaza as a way station from being forced from Gaza altogether.

And even in these regions, the Palestinian people continue to be forcibly starved and shot down when they gather for the small amounts of aid that are being distributed.

Genocide by remote control: Killer Robots and Incendiary Bombs

Israel has increasingly been using quad-copter drones and explosive-laden robots to spread terror and destruction—24 hours a day. “Alongside explosives, Israeli quadcopters have dropped dozens of incendiary bombs in recent weeks across Gaza, igniting fires in tents, homes, clinics, markets and vehicles,” the Middle East Eye reports, and “drones are now being deployed to fire live rounds, ignite fires with incendiary bombs, and scatter shrapnel-filled explosives over densely populated areas. Operated remotely, these drones allow Israeli forces to strike targets continuously.”

Think about this: Incendiary bombs are weapons designed to start fires. Israel is consciously and systematically dropping these on tents and buildings—places families and innocent civilians are desperately trying to survive—in order to light people, and their makeshift homes, on fire.

200,000 Dead or Wounded—Israeli General Admits They Operated Lawlessly

The official death toll in Gaza since October 7, 2023 is now 64,756 killed and 164,059 wounded. The actual number is far higher and it’s rising every day—with vast numbers of uncounted buried under the rubble. This past week, at least 456 were killed and 2,054 injured—that’s an average of 65 killed and 293 wounded—every single day.

This past week, a retired Israel general dispensed with the usual Israeli propaganda downplaying Gaza’s massive death toll and confirmed that “more than 10% of Gaza’s 2.2 million population had been killed or injured—‘more than 200,000 people.’” 

“We took the gloves off,” he said, and “not once” had legal advice—i.e., the laws of war—limited or constrained Israel’s military actions. 

Mass Starvation Intensifies—U.S.-Israel Aid Sites “Secured” by Anti-Islam Christian Fundamentalist Bikers  

It’s a crime and an outrage that Israel didn’t immediately halt its military offensive after famine was declared in Gaza on August 22. Instead, they intensified the slaughter, and rising famine is the result.

Since August 22, “only about 12 food trucks a day have reached their intended destinations—less than 2% of the 600 trucks needed daily,” Drop Site News reports. “In total, fewer than 600 trucks reached their intended destinations in the entire last month — what Gaza needs in one day.” 

This means death by starvation continues. This past week that toll since October 7, 2023 rose to 413, including 143 children.

Making matters worse, U.S.-Israel “aid stations,” run by the so-called Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), continue to be death traps. The United Nations reported August 1 that nearly 1,400 Palestinians seeking food had been killed at or near GHF sites.

Now BBC has reported that members of the U.S.-based, anti-Islam “Infidels Motorcycle Club” are providing armed security at GHF sites. According to BBC:

Infidels MC was set up by US military veterans of the Iraq war in 2006 and members see themselves as modern Crusaders, using the Crusader cross as their symbol—a reference to the medieval Christians who fought Muslims for control of Jerusalem.

The gang is currently hosting anti-Muslim hate speech on its Facebook page and has previously held a pig roast "in defiance of" the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.

"Putting the Infidels biker club in charge of delivering humanitarian aid in Gaza is like putting the KKK in charge of delivering humanitarian aid in Sudan. It makes no sense whatsoever," said Edward Ahmed Mitchell, deputy director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a leading Muslim civil rights organization in the US.

Israel Seeks to Destroy the Lives, Memories, History, and Humanity of the Palestinian People

The numbers of dead, wounded, displaced, diseased are staggering and unconscionable enough. But Israel is also seeking to destroy the lives, memories, history, and humanity of Palestinians in Gaza:

'The Only Trace Left of Gaza's Archaeology' Israeli Army Threatened to Destroy Gaza Building Housing Thousands of Archaeological Artifacts: “After contacting the French government to prevent an Israeli strike, Gaza archeologists began moving items but struggled due to the conditions in Gaza. 'We saved a large part, but in a rescue you always lose things, and you always face painful choices,' one said.” Gaza City has existed for some 5,000 years!

The future of the Palestinian people hangs in the balance.
