June 8: Tens of Thousands Demand Stop the War, Stop the Genocide.

June 8, tens of thousands of people from across the country converged at Lafayette Park across from the White House in a national mobilization calling for an immediate cease fire, halting U.S. arms shipments to Israel, and an end to Israel’s U.S.-backed genocide in Gaza. June 8 marked the eighth month of this genocide and thousands of protesters surrounded the White House, ringing the entire perimeter of more than a mile with a red paper banner carrying the names of the over 36,000 people killed in Gaza. Protesters condemned Biden for calling an invasion of Rafah a “red line” and then continuing to ship arms after Israel invaded. Their sentiment was to draw their own red line -- Stop the weapons shipments, stop the genocide!

A crew from the New York Revcom Corps for the Emancipation of Humanity held a banner that declared “From Palestine to the USA, Real Revolution Is the Way” as they distributed the “Crucial Crossroads in the Struggle to STOP the U.S.-Israeli Genocide of Palestinians…,” and talked to people about the way forward.

1,000 people marched in Los Angeles to "draw the redline" which Biden has refused to do, demanding an end to the genocide in Gaza. People, including lots of students, came from across California. Many said they were there because they do not want to be complicit in this genocide. They made the trip to LA to be part of fighting to end it. The Revcom Corps for the Emancipation of Humanity, LA marched and talked to people there—uniting with people from different perspectives to fight to end this nightmare, and opening up the bigger questions about why this is all happening. People were eager to discuss WHY Biden continues to support the genocide. Almost everyone got a copy of Bob Avakian's social media dispatch #7. A number of people donated for "Israel and Palestine, The Middle East and U.S. Imperialism, The Revolution Humanity Needs, a selection of writings from Bob Avakian". When stepping up to the table people wanted copies of We Need & We Demand: A Whole New Way to Live, A Fundamentally Different System! as well as as well as Revolution: A Real Chance to Win by BA. A number of people were also excited about Revolution Summer.
