On the Hypocrisy of the U.S. Ruling Class

I agree wholeheartedly with what BA [Bob Avakian] says on the hypocrisy of the U.S. ruling class in their condemnations of Russia. Of course, they don’t condemn their own actions across the world (Iraq, Afghanistan, etc.) or even cop to their own role in this whole situation with Russia and Ukraine.

U.S. is looking out for its own interest, but so is Russia, and Ukraine is caught in the middle, like a rope in a game of tug-war. But this is not a game, and the Ukrainians are the ones suffering in all of this. Of course, Russia is going to fight for their own interests, not saying they are right in all this, but they are no more wrong than the U.S. is. And I like that Bob pointed out the analogous situation during the cold war, and the Cuban missile shenanigans. We are doing now to Russia what was done to us. 

And what gets me, is that these mediocre, cowardly blockheads treat us like we are stupid, and play the blame game, flashing their disgusting morals, and trying to play the hero in all this. That’s what pisses me off! Do you think we’re stupid?  Well, evidently, they do, and honestly, sadly, a lot of us are. But really, I think it’s more of a comfort issue. People would rather hold on to their comfort, and turn a blind eye to the truth. It’s disgusting, it’s weak, and it is the mentality of a blockhead. Like, wake the fuck up and smell the shit—because that isn’t roses you are smelling!

Look at the aftermath of Afghanistan—the result of games of imperialism. The masses suffered. And now Ukraine is suffering. All over the globe this is the pattern, the modus operandi of the United States. And we the people are letting them get away with this shit, but it’s okay! So long as we have our disgusting little comforts! It pisses me off—especially because that’s how I’ve lived my 28 years on this planet, as a selfish blockhead. So I’ve been part of it all along. 

Anyway, I’m still receiving the Revolution newsletter, I’m still reading it and thinking on it, and passing it on to others—whether they want to read it or not.

I’d like to ask for a copy of BAsics [BAsics, from the talks and writings of Bob Avakian], please.

“You must not allow the fascist and the capitalist class to manipulate your humane sentiments.”

I understand that what the Russians are doing to Ukraine is horrible. Still. You must not allow the fascist and the capitalist class to manipulate your humane sentiments and be fooled into supporting the agenda and interest of the capitalist class. You would be complicit to a crime if you unite to support isolation and war against Russia, that will solve nothing! The machinations of oppression and genocidal war would still be intact. Unless! the people of the world unite in an international front for the Revolutionary overthrow of fascist and capitalist regimes in both the western and eastern hemispheres.

People, we are at the door steps of a world war, one uncomparable to what the world has seen because this one will be fought with weapons of mass extermination. It will be the end of humankind, and for what? The greed and selfishness of an elite fear? They gave up their humanity a long time ago when they chose the power of money profits over humankind. Why must capitalism and its benefactors be allowed another second to rule over humanity and the world and recklessly take us to the brink of extinction?

That’s over with! It is your duty as a human being to end the reign of capitalist dictatorship and fascist oppression. You, that is alive today, find yourself in a historically rare time …. to succeed in the Revolutionary overthrowment of humanity's and the world’s most greatest threat, Capitalism-Imperialism and its fascist regime. Please open your eyes and ACT! Don’t hesitate, don’t squander this opportunity to prove to the universe that humanity has a right to exist, that human life is worth existing. How humankind answers its most urgent call will be remembered for generations to come, or will be lost in the ashes of our destruction.
