The consolidation of fascism now rapidly going on is the most serious crisis that has faced people in the U.S. in our lifetimes. It is hard to overstate how much depends on all those who see what we face taking up the Call issued by Refuse Fascism for massive, millions-strong demonstrations in DC on November 5.

Why is this audacious and necessary Call so critically important?
Because Donald Trump and his MAGA minions are daily and radically transforming this country into a nuclear-armed… openly white supremacist, crudely patriarchal and brutally xenophobic… Nazi nightmare. Institutions crumble one by one, laws and rights are mowed down and mocked. This utterly illegitimate regime is moving with both desperation and determination, and with great speed, to lock down and consolidate its rule. We have to step up to a whole other level of opposition.

2026 elections? You’ve got to be kidding. Look what Trump has done in just seven months. Do you really think this juggernaut will slow down? Even now Trump is rigging these elections with outrageous gerrymandering, assaults on and threats to jail Democrat politicians, and rule-changing. He is deploying troops to Democrat-voting states and bulking up ICE, his strike force of masked thugs. And can you seriously expect that these fascists will accept an election they lose?
There is NO SOLUTION to this fascism, other than (and without) such a massive mobilization. This provides THE ONLY CHANCE to actually remove—drive out—this regime from power.
We are not talking about just another mass demonstration of people around the country—important and positive as those were in the first months of this regime. Once again: We are talking about what MUST BE the biggest, most determined nonviolent mass mobilization/assembly in the capital in American history. THE STAKES ARE TOO HIGH FOR ANYTHING LESS.
