Some of these fools, haters and worse out here attacking revolutionary leader Bob Avakian (BA) must think people don’t have the sense to check out the evidence for themselves.
For instance, some of these people say that when Trump first came to power in 2016, BA stopped talking about revolution.
Really?
Well, if you’re gonna lie, I guess you might as well make it a big one. Yes, BA did say people had to fight and try to drive out this fascist regime—innocent as charged. But he linked it to fighting for revolution.
Anyone interested in the actual evidence—and anyone interested in actually making revolution, not just going after someone who’s putting himself on the line to lead a revolution—should just go to the film Why We Need An Actual Revolution and How We Can Really Make Revolution, which came out in 2018, in the middle of Trump’s first term! Listen to the talk Bob Avakian gives. And listen to the questions and answers afterward, and how he goes deep into the relationship between fighting the regime and making revolution—as well as many other questions that people who want real answers actually care about. You’ll get a master class in how to link the fight against fascism to the revolution we need.
Or go to articles he wrote in 2020, especially the ones during the beautiful rising against the murders of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor. Same thing.
Now, I’m not talking about people with honest questions. If you’re honest and serious, then look into this seriously. Read and listen to what BA says, and weigh the evidence. Ask those questions, for sure. And I’m not talking about people with differences or criticisms based on engaging what BA, or other revcoms, have actually said or done.
No, I’m talking about distortions, slanders and name-calling. That’s a whole other thing.
And right now? The stakes are higher than ever. Right now, we have a chance like we’ve never had before to actually go all the way—to make a real revolution. And yes, BA is there showing how we can do this. He’s using straightforward language that everyone can understand and act on, showing us how to analyze events as they happen and see how they fit in to the largest goal we have: revolution, and a whole new emancipating way to live.
Think about it. Where would things be, in terms of any possibility of an actually emancipating revolution, in this country and the world overall—and, indeed in terms of the future prospects for humanity—if it were not for what BA has done, and is continuing to do?!
If you don’t want that, if you won’t even look at it or refuse to honestly engage it… well, that’s on you. But if you’re devoting your efforts to stopping others from getting into it? No fucking way.
Stop doing the work of the pigs who want to slander, isolate and repress the revolution and especially the leadership we have for that revolution. Now.
