In the protest signs filling big cities and small towns across the country, in addition to the anger and humor, you see increased understanding and outrage about the fascist nature of the Trump MAGA regime:

As the revolutionary leader Bob Avakian said in his social media message REVOLUTION #114, “Defeating Trump/MAGA fascism: Looking to some future elections... or working now to mobilize millions around this powerful unifying demand: The Trump fascist regime must go!”:

It is a very good thing that people are mobilizing in large numbers to express their outrage at the heartless and lawless actions of the Trump regime.

At the same time: It is crucial to have a clear understanding of what the Trump regime actually is, where it is rapidly taking things, why it is urgently necessary to defeat this regime before it is too late—and what is the way that could be done.

The answers to these questions, and much more, are found in a selection of social media messages from the revolutionary leader Bob Avakian who has developed the new communism: TRUMP/MAGA FASCISM: What We’re Really Facing, Why, and What Must Be Done to Defeat It Before It’s Too Late. This pamphlet also includes the major statement from Avakian released in January 2025: 2025: A New Year—Profound New Challenges— And a Profoundly Positive Way Forward in the Face of Very Real Horror.

There are lots of voices speaking out right now—and we need many, many more, uniting broadly behind the demand that the Trump Fascist Regime Must Go NOW! At the same time, the clarity, analysis and direction being provided by Bob Avakian urgently needs to be taken up and widely debated—with his clear-eyed understanding about what we're facing and what's needed.

Some argue that the problem is the "billionaires" in office, and the "oligarchy." Bob Avakian answers:

The specific and essential thing that is represented and is being enforced by the Trump regime is not “oligarchy,” it is not “billionaires”: it is fascism.

Fascism is a qualitatively different way that this system enforces its rule over people.

Others argue that Trump is "un-American," that he's "Putin's puppet." Bob Avakian recognizes that Trump is born out of the soil of this country, rooted in slavery and genocide:

The Trump MAGA fascists would have been on the side of the Confederacy in the Civil War, fighting to maintain, and expand, slavery.

Many argue that we should rely on the Democratic Party and work toward the mid-term elections in 2026 as a way to stop what Trump is doing. Bob Avakian argues:

The Democrats as a whole are both unable and unwilling to fully recognize and act in line with the understanding that the “norms”—“politics as usual” and the “regular way things are done”—cannot stop this Trump fascist regime, which is determined to defy and trample on these “norms,” including the Constitution and the rule of law it establishes. (Right now, major Democratic Party politicians and operatives are “debating” whether it is necessary and “good politics” to stand up for the rule of law and due process of law, in the face of Trump’s flagrant violations of this! No political force that really cares about the basic rights of the people could “debate” whether it should stand up for those rights!) So, along with the fact that elections in November, 2026 (to say nothing of 2028) would be way too late, especially given the crazed speed with which the Trump fascist regime is moving (and its refusal anyway to recognize the outcome of elections it does not like), relying on the Democratic Party is a recipe for defeat—a terrible defeat that humanity really cannot afford!

And many, many people are holding all kinds of these contradictory ideas in their thinking all at once. But what people understand will shape how they act—right now, in a situation with the whole future on the line.

In this fight, many are asking, while we move to take on this fascism, what kind of positive vision should we be fighting for? What kind of society gave rise to this fascism? Bob Avakian speaks the deeper truth that the powers-that-be don't want you to know:

This system is completely absurd—criminally, monstrously absurd—and completely outmoded: long past its expiration date, past the time when it can lead to anything positive for humanity—and, on the contrary, it stands as the direct barrier to the emancipation of humanity from all this madness, atrocity, and unnecessary suffering. The rise of fascism, in many other countries as well as in the U.S. itself, is a glaring sign of the thoroughly outmoded nature of this system and the heightened danger it poses to humanity as a whole.

We are now at the point where it is more and more urgently necessary to move beyond this whole monstrous system—beyond a situation where people are forced to struggle just for individual survival, with everyone compelled to be in competition and conflict with others, and the masses of people everywhere are chained down by outmoded oppressive relations, while the future, and the very existence, of humanity is increasingly endangered.

And it is possible now to move beyond all this.

In This Wild Swirl, Bringing Clarity and Direction

It is in this wild swirl—and time of rapid fascist escalation—that these messages from Bob Avakian, and the consistent clarity he is providing through his social media, needs to reach and influence many, many millions. 

People need more than soundbites, they need answers. Lots of people are hungry right now to go deeper. And many are willing to be taken out of their comfort zone to find those answers—because they can see how "staying in their comfort zone" will only enable the fascists to lock down the future. Millions are in the streets who have never protested before, who maybe haven't liked much of what this country has been or is doing but have gone along because they didn't think anything else was better. Right now, they are being forced to question... to act... and many are doing so for something bigger than themselves—for their neighbors, for the future, and yes, for the people of the world.

Over the last week, volunteers nationally have distributed over 10,000 copies of this pamphlet from BA. Over the next two weeks, we want to multiply that by many, many more.

In the protests themselves, aim to "saturate" a crowd—getting this in everyone's hands. Raise funds as you go. Reach out to farmers markets, panels and book readings, art openings and skate parks. Wherever people are gathered, you will find a serious percentage of them who are agonizing and want answers. An Increased Following for @BobAvakianOfficial

Over the last months, the National Campaign to Get @BobAvakianOfficial Everywhere has been raising funds for online advertising and a grassroots on-the-ground movement to spread the leadership Bob Avakian is providing through his social media messages. Through generous individual contributions, collective projects like pie sales and yard sales, through friends asking friends, we've raised tens of thousands of dollars. This has put BA's voice in front of tens of millions of people, with hundreds of thousands hearing an actual message or clip, in full or in part. 

One thing we've been paying attention to and fighting for in this campaign are people who start following BA regularly. Most people are going to click on something, and find it interesting—among many different online voices that are coming at people. But there needs to be a leap in people recognizing that this is a voice they need to be hearing regularly. BA is not a political pundit with "hot takes." He's a revolutionary communist leader providing urgent analysis and direction—cutting through the noise and distraction with a scientific understanding and providing you the tools to apply that scientific method to the many complex questions of the day, to understand things as they actually are and to act in the interests of humanity.

One increase in this last period is seen through the advertising on YouTube. Right now, the "click through rate" for new viewers is 2.8% and for returning viewers is 4.4%. Meaning that if someone has already viewed one of BA's videos, they are twice as likely to click on an ad. We can't say for sure why this is except that there's likely some combination of name recognition and an appreciation for what BA is saying in this dire situation. 

Also, about 10% of the overall views come from returning viewers, and this too is important. We are doing highly targeted advertising to reach people newly being brought into political life, and through this—combined with overall impact in society—we have been finding an audience who wants to go deeper into what BA is saying.

This reflects an important coherence of people looking to what BA is saying more regularly. This needs to grow in leaps and bounds, but it's an important beginning to understand and build on.

If you've been part of raising funds for all this, get back to everyone who has donated and give them an update. Let them know what their donation is accomplishing. Listen to BA's recent social media messages and talk together about what he's saying, and how to get this reaching others. Put the problem to others and strategize together—why did they contribute, how does what they understand about the need for BA's voice to be impacting society reach others, who can they connect with, or what other ideas do they have?
