In his Super Bowl interview on Fox-TV on Sunday, Trump said that he would remove the 2 million Palestinian people in Gaza to Egypt and Jordan, and not allow them to ever return. He repeated his ugly moronic “vision” of turning Gaza into some kind of casino resort. He threatened Jordan and Egypt that if they did not go along with his plan, he would cut aid to them. When Hamas suspended hostage transfers, citing Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement, Trump then threatened that unless Hamas released all Israeli hostages by Saturday at noon, “all hell will break out.” He refused to rule out using U.S. military to directly do this.

It is hard to know what new hell could be wreaked on the people of Gaza by Israel and the U.S. The Israelis, backed by the U.S., have now killed nearly 50,000 people (and by some counts more), leveled the area, and wrecked sanitation, water, electricity, food supplies and other basic needs. Yet no doubt these monsters would find some way to inflict yet more horror on the suffering masses of Gaza.

Trump is doing this at the same time that he is rapidly nailing down a fascist regime in this country, with breakneck speed. Fascism, as the revolutionary leader Bob Avakian has said, means “the undisguised dictatorship of this system of capitalism-imperialism in the world’s most powerful capitalist-imperialist country—openly and aggressively oppressive and repressive—a fascism fueled by anti-scientific and Christian fundamentalist lunacy, moving to forcibly impose its racist, immigrant-persecuting, woman- and LGBT-hating MAGA madness, determined to unleash unbridled capitalist plunder and naked imperialist expansionism, prepared to violently crush any opposition or resistance.”

What Trump is threatening in Gaza is deadly serious. It is necessary and righteous to take mass political action against this move by Trump. And it is vitally important to act now against this whole Trump/MAGA fascist regime, forging unity between different sections of people and different battles, and working urgently to defeat this fascism.

The Revcom Corps for the Emancipation of Humanity is uniting to defeat this fascism, and we are recruiting for a real revolution and a whole different, emancipating society based on the Constitution for a New Socialist Republic in North America, written by Bob Avakian.
