From a prisoner at a federal prison:
Dear Friends and Comrades.
Thank you for your steadfast and continued support through the newsletter [of articles compiled from RevCom.us by the Prisoners Revolutionary Literature Fund, PRLF]!
For all the talk of reform and abolition, there’s talk of harsher punishment and worse from the same mouths. Prison, the 13th Amendment, mandatory minimums were all reforms.
My favorite things y’all bring up is about the environmental impact of all these green initiatives. It’s all treated as magically appearing with no thought to the labor and exploitative aspects. It’s just rapist consumption with no regard to humanity.
I also enjoy the queer and feminist articles. I am so amazed. My whole life has been since Roe and yet it’s still under fire. I don’t know much about laws, but find it amazing. That’s still my issue. It’s akin to trying to go backward with other mistakes of the past.
I really appreciate BA’s [Bob Avakian’s] solutions based on approach. It’s easy enough to point out what’s wrong. It takes someone special to have pragmatic and forward-thinking solutions.
Thanks again for everything. We really enjoyed the science book and BA’s plan line. I hope there is much more actual progress in the near future. I’ve been through 4 presidents and have many more to go. Without revolution and the leadership of BA, for me there’s no future. Keep up the good work, and thanks.
PS: I did not get “Something Terrible…” [“Something Terrible, Or Something Truly Emancipating,” by Bob Avakian] if it was sent to me. Please send it. [It was sent to the prisoner by PRLF.] Thanks.
