Here there is this unique, really unprecedented leadership for people—including (but not limited to) the most bitterly oppressed—while far too many do not even know about this and, among those who do, too many are ignoring, or rejecting and slandering, it. Talk about squandering!
With this, there is specifically the question of “white (and male...cis...etc., ad nauseam) leader”: This is fundamentally a matter of emancipator(s) of humanity vs. what is ultimately (or perhaps not so ultimately) narrow—and fundamentally bourgeois—nationalism (or narrow, bourgeois feminism, etc.). Refusing/rejecting this leadership on the basis of “identity” is in essence a matter of aspiring to something different from, and far short of, real revolution and real emancipation—of all humanity—with the abolition of all oppression and exploitation, everywhere. It ultimately (or not so ultimately) comes down to wanting “your place and your share” within this world as it is, dominated as it is by this system of capitalism-imperialism and specifically with the imperialist parasitism of this country, with the all too real and all too terrible outrages and suffering this enforces—when something far more inspiring, and liberating, has become possible (not guaranteed, or “easy,” but possible), and there is unprecedented leadership for this.
