Here are some initial sights and sounds in response to the judge's ruling. Stay tuned.
Yesterday, after 5 pm on Good Friday, perhaps/likely with the hope that people would not get into the streets with their outrage on Easter weekend, a federal judge in Amarillo Texas, Matthew Kaczmaryk revoked FDA approval of the abortion pill mifepristone. Mifepristone is one of the safest drugs on the market. But the Christian fascists who brought this case know that. Judge Kaczmaryk knows that. These anti-abortion lunatics who have been harassing women and killing doctors for decades have built their whole movement on lies — but now 9 months after the overturning of Roe, uplifted by a fascist movement in this country that rose to the White House with Donald Trump, they are emboldened to accelerate their attacks and go for the whole thing.
It is time to get fucking serious. It’s time to stop playing around. We need to call this what it is, a fascist move to further enslave and degrade women, and we need to fight and call on others to fight politically and ideologically through non-violent struggle. Our power is in the streets and we need to start using it. Read more.

80 Gather in New York City:
“They’ve reduced women to non-humans, second class citizens. BUT WE ARE NOT STANDING FOR IT!”
A diverse crowd of around 80 people gathered at Washington Squark Park in the heart of Manhattan to denounce the fascist mifepristone decision and join them in building mass resistance and struggle for legal abortion everywhere. One young activist with Rise Up 4 Abortion Rights, which organized the protest, declared, “These rightwing fascists have worked their ways into the halls of power and are not giving it up, until they’ve reduced women to non-humans, second class citizens. BUT WE ARE NOT STANDING FOR IT!” Another called on people to raise the Green Bandana and take a page from our sisters in Latin America to win LEGAL ABORTION NATIONWIDE. Other speakers included the NYC Revolution Club, the National Mobilization for Reproductive Justice, and others. The protest received wide coverage on local and national TV.

On Saturday March 8 marchers went through downtown Chicago in protest of the mifepristone ban by Texas Judge. (Above) A silent protest by the Handmaids was held in front of Holy Name Catholic Church in Chicago Easter morning. A number of parishioners silently mouthed "Thank you" and a few voiced their support audibly. (Right) RU4AR Chicago
