The following video clip is from Raymond Lotta’s presentation at an emergency program at Revolution Books in New York City on December 14. In introducing the event, Raymond Lotta explained:

This emergency program is happening against the backdrop of Israel’s escalating onslaught against the people of Gaza, with the full military, financial, and diplomatic backing of Israel’s master, U.S. imperialism. But for courageously calling out this genocide for what it is, for exposing the hand of U.S. imperialism, and standing up for the people of Gaza, students, intellectuals, artists, journalists, lawyers and activists have been targeted by authority at the highest levels of society; censored, pilloried, and physically threatened. And, lastly, the presidents of Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania, and MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) were hauled before a congressional kangaroo court by Republi-fascists and liberal Democrats and basically told if you don’t clamp down on student protest, if you don’t swear fealty, allegiance, to Israel, then your career is at risk. This is NAZI thought control. And it should be a lesson to all. The democracy that exists in the U.S. is a democracy that serves the ruling imperialists and their interests, and Israel, the maintenance of Israel, and the role that it plays in the U.S. empire, is decisive to those interests.
