Just two weeks away from the major nodal point of the 2024 elections—with hundreds of millions of dollars being spent to funnel people's thinking and activity into voting—things in society are sharpening, with the real possibility of the situation coming to a head. As the revolutionary leader, Bob Avakian (BA) has repeated throughout his social media dispatches:

This is not a time to be siding with one group of oppressors or another. This is a rare time—a very rare opening—a chance that may come only once in a lifetime—a chance to take advantage of the deep divisions among the ruling oppressors and go after their whole system, with the aim of bringing the whole thing down, and putting something much better in its place.

Seizing on that possibility depends on reaching millions with the real-time leadership Bob Avakian is providing through his social media dispatches. And doing this requires funds!

We want to thank everyone who contributed to make our $20,000 goal! We've raised nearly $12,000 but we're going to extend the deadline one week to meet our full goal. But then we should be raising a lot more than the $8,000 left in this intense and momentous time.

Over these next days, reach everyone you can with a serious request to contribute to this campaign. This means struggling with people to engage directly with Bob Avakian's voice and the leadership he's providing. It means struggling with people to think outside the terms of this planet-destroying, people-killing system. To raise their sights to the fact that there is a whole different way humanity could be living—a framework for human emancipation in the new communism that BA has developed.

This also means working with people to raise funds from their networks, and through coming together for fundraising projects (bake sales, dinner sales and more).

I donated $20 to the REVCOMs and @BobAvakianOfficial. And you should donate too. Here’s why:

Number 1 is that I like this and that's the reason I want to be a part of this. I believe in the "We Need and We Demand a Whole New Way to Live, A Fundamentally Different System" Declaration. That’s what brings me in. And where it explains the source of all the suffering and the madness. It's another good point. It makes me want to be a part of this. But I want to see how to make this possible. It's really a tall order and it can be overwhelming but I definitely don't like this capitalist system. Imperialism has run its course.

We all should be able to live on this sphere in a humanly manner. I'd like to see that happen before I meet my maker. And I want to be a part of something that can make this system different. We know capitalism is a mess and it's been that way so long that people get accustomed to it. I feel like we're gonna destroy ourselves. But the question is "how we gonna do this? HOW!?" That's what I'm trying to understand, HOW! That's what I’m getting from listening to what Mr. Avakian is talking about.

How would a completely new way to live look? What would that be like? Can you create a place and area away from all this? Create a way of life and then see how to make that go? But I know the way things are they would get rid of that and crush anything you do that’s really gonna threaten the system.

** Thank you to people across the country who sent pictures of posters appearing on the walls from Texas to Massachusetts to California to Ohio. There's an important dynamic between people seeing online ads and the same message coming up from the underground.

** We are now able to run advertising on Instagram and Facebook, and will be launching an ad campaign aimed at reaching people to sign up and contribute funds. Stay tuned for more. Just to underscore the difference advertising makes in terms of getting in front of people: normally, our posts just reach hundreds of people. But advertising enables us to reach many, many thousands. In a time when things are moving quickly, and so much is on the line, Bob Avakian's voice needs to be reaching many thousands, and more.
