Update #15 from the National Campaign to Get @BobAvakianOfficial Everywhere

** Thank you to everyone who contributed to raising $10,000 by the end of today, November 11. We are determined to meet this goal—so contribute, and go out widely in these next hours to meet this goal. 

Just to paint a picture, an advertising budget of $10,000 for REVOLUTION #102 could result in about 100,000 people watching this message and 1,500 subscribers to @BobAvakianOfficial on Youtube. If we ran an ad for REVOLUTION #102 on Instagram and Facebook, it could result in about 18,000 clicking on it to learn more or listen to the whole thing and 800 more people following @BobAvakianOfficial. And it would fund about 3,000 posters getting up and out across the country. We also want to experiment with sponsoring posts on other social media platforms to reach new audiences.

But this requires funds. And again, what we are pointing to here is just scratching the surface of what's needed to get @BobAvakianOfficial reverberating throughout society.

** A few days ago, Bob Avakian released his latest social media message, REVOLUTION #102:

“Two Countries” Within This Country—And The Whole Damn System’s Got To Go!

This is not a time for demoralization and despair—it is a time for righteous anger and revolutionary determination.

As it says in the enclosed call to get this everywhere, this is a "reality-based message of hope" which needs to reach the millions who are reeling, disoriented and asking why. As that piece says:

This message from Bob Avakian digs people out of the avalanche of numbing bullshit pouring out from commentators and politicians who are explaining this horror in totally upside-down ways, keeping people trapped within the terms of the very system that spawned this fascism. This message from BA is the leadership people need and the leadership they are hungry for—whether they know it now or not—to break out of the mental chains.

The leadership that Bob Avakian is giving through this message underscores why many millions need to be encountering this voice. And this intensifying situation brings to life why this National Campaign to Get @BobAvakianOfficial Everywhere is urgent!

** In small but important ways, people are beginning to engage and spread BA's social media messages on their own (even beyond the reach of the online advertising). Almost 1,000 people—from all across the country, and all different backgrounds—have shared the ad on Facebook. On Instagram, there aren't as many people sharing but the viewership of BA's posts is growing. 

This is important—but it is nowhere near close to commensurate, to matching what's needed. Given the extremity of the times, and the urgent analysis, vision and leadership that Bob Avakian is providing—this reach needs to scale up ten-fold and more—now. 

Right now, we are focusing these efforts on creatively reaching out with REVOLUTION #102, but please send us your ideas and brainstorms, your thinking and questions, and your suggestions, including of people we should be reaching out to. At a time when all the other answers on offer are leading people back into the killing confines of this system, people need to hear from Bob Avakian with the truth the powers-that-be don't want them to know!

Revcom.us posts BA’s timely leadership for the revcoms (revolutionary communists), including his social media posts which break this down for people every week and sometimes more. We act as a guiding and connecting hub for the growing revcom movement nationwide: not just showing what’s being done, but going into what’s right and what’s wrong and rapidly learning—and recruiting new people into what has to be a rapidly growing force.

Put it this way: there will be no revolution unless this website not only “keeps going” but goes up to a whole different level!
