On Friday, October 25, Refuse Fascism hosted a conversation between Andy Zee and Paul Street. Andy Zee is a follower of Bob Avakian, the most important revolutionary leader on the planet and the architect of a whole new framework for human emancipation, the new communism. Andy is also a co-host of the RNL—Revolution, Nothing Less! Youtube show, and a co-founder of Refuse Fascism.
Paul Street is an independent radical journalist and a member of the Refuse Fascism editorial board.
The conversation was moderated by Refuse Fascism editorial board member Samantha Goldman.
We think the following excerpts from Andy Zee shed light on important dimensions of the extremely intense situation now developing and the whole coming period in which, as Bob Avakian has said, everything will very likely be coming to a head and going up for grabs. The excerpts posted below come deep into the program building on points discussed earlier. There is a lot that Paul Street brought to the conversation, and a lively back and forth between Paul, Andy and Sam Goldman, the host of the program. The full program can be viewed at Youtube/TheRevcoms/Live. Andy Zee gave tremendous emphasis to this point from BA:
This is not a time to be siding with one group of oppressors or another. This is a rare time—a very rare opening—a chance that may come only once in a lifetime—a chance to take advantage of the deep divisions among the ruling oppressors and go after their whole system, with the aim of bringing the whole thing down, and putting something much better in its place.
Shocks, Jolts, the Real Threat of Civil War and the Possibility of Revolution: “Something Terrible, OR Something Truly Emancipating”
Andy Zee speaks in this excerpt about how the Democrats won't fight the fascists in the way they need to be fought. Elsewhere in the program, he said this doesn’t mean that the Democrats necessarily won’t mount any fight, including possibly mobilizing some official forces.
