Building Towards November 5

Updated November 3, 2025

November 5 needs to be the biggest mass mobilization in the U.S. capital in American history, amassing millions in sustained nonviolent protest to drive this regime from power.  Here, we are sharing experiences building for November 5 in Washington DC. We are also including thoughts, experiences, questions and ideas from organizers across the country.  To respond to something here, or share your experience, write to therevcoms@gmail.com or DM @therevcoms on social media.

Op-Ed in the Columbia Spectator:

Fascism is not a looming threat. It is upon us now.

By Coco Das • October 31, 2025

This is an urgent call for the Columbia community to join a historic outpouring to Washington, D.C...

Over a year ago, students at Columbia, acting with courage and conviction, galvanized a student movement against the genocide in Gaza. The whole world was watching. Now, in 2025, the world continues to look on. Will they see Columbia rise up to stop America from sliding into fascism?...

Dear refusefascism.org,

We are supporters and friends of Iran’s political prisoners, including from the Iranian Diaspora. We are pledging to raise $2K towards your $100,000 fundraising goal and sending $500 now as our first installment. We especially call on people in the Diaspora to donate as well as go to DC! In the spirit of international solidarity, we would like these funds to be earmarked for those from the dispossessed or people without means so they can get to DC.

We unite with your call for November 5 to flood Washington DC. We totally agree with you that “the time has come for the fall of the Trump fascist regime.” It should inspire people all over the world that you refuse to accept a fascist America in the name and interest of humanity. In addition to all the boots on the ground, we would like to see a virtual global flotilla to DC with the whole world not only watching but sending solidarity messages.

We call on all who care to bring forward a better world to donate to refusefascism.org’s bold historic effort for it to succeed. We especially call on all those inspired by Iran’s political prisoners who have stood up against a fascist theocracy and a brutal US-backed dictator before that. Their repeated protests — even in the face of savage repression by Iran’s regime — declare loudly that there is NO living with fascism. This is especially so in a nuked-up imperialist superpower like the U.S. that poses an existential threat to all of the world’s people. Everyone on this planet has a huge stake in winning this fight.

As the Refuse Fascism call for November 5 says “THE FUTURE IS UNWRITTEN. WHICH ONE WE GET IS UP TO US”! We ask people to donate directly to refusefascism.org and include a memo or note for the donation to go toward fulfilling this internationalist pledge. We will also continue to forward any funds we collect towards meeting this pledge.

We ask all those that we are reaching to donate generously to this special pledge as if the future and the world depend on it. It really does!

Warmest Regards,

Friends of Iran’s Political Prisoners Internationalist Fund (FIPPIF)
