Over the next two weeks, be part of raising the funds to meet the $30,000 goal in the National Campaign to Get @BobAvakianOfficial Everywhere. This Campaign is aimed at impacting society with Bob Avakian's revolutionary voice, vision and leadership, through his social media platforms. We are $19,825 away from the goal of raising $30,000 by March 31. These funds will go toward online advertising and an on-the-ground grassroots movement, with posters, flyers, stickers and more—all aimed at reaching millions.

We are in a truly unprecedented situation. Big shit is up for the future, and millions of people are feeling it one way or another. 

Every day, often every hour, there are new extreme fascist measures from the Trump MAGA regime that hit people with shock and anger. Trump spreads lies and threats, terrorizing one section of people after another with vicious cruelty. His regime is rapidly shredding all the "norms" of society to quickly lock into place an all-out fascist America. Millions are agonized, outraged, heartsick and scared. 

This nightmare is throwing up the most urgent questions of why this is happening and what is to be done... And it's throwing up the biggest questions of the future, human society, what it means to be moral, and about what's worth putting yourself on the line for.

In this situation, Bob Avakian (BA), the revolutionary leader who has developed the new communism, is providing the sharpest and most sweeping answers and way forward for what to do now. He has analyzed the deep roots of this fascism in this system of capitalism-imperialism which is responsible for this horror, along with so many other atrocities. At the same time, he is bringing alive, and providing the vision, method and revolutionary strategy for a radically different and far better society and system.

In addition to his New Year's Message, 2025: A New Year—Profound New Challenges—And a Profoundly Positive Way Forward in the Face of Very Real Horror, here are just some of the questions Bob Avakian speaks to in a recent set of Interviews that were done with him for The RNL—Revolution, Nothing Less!—Show. In the first Interview, “Fascism, Capitalism and the Way Out of the Madness,” BA answers, "What are we facing with the Trump MAGA fascist regime, and what are the stakes of this?" and, struggling with how most decent people are feeling, speaks to why, right after the election, he said “this is not a time for demoralization and despair—it is a time for righteous anger and revolutionary determination.”

BA charts a way forward, answering the question, "What would it look like to bring forward tens of millions of people in massive opposition and resistance on such a level that we can defeat this fascism?" And he speaks movingly to people who should find their courage in these heavy times.

All throughout these Interviews, and especially in Part 2, “The New Communism: A Whole New Way to Live, a Fundamentally Different System,” BA goes deeply into how a different society and system would be run—and he leads people to think about and go to work on questions they've never even thought of, but need to be taking responsibility for. He answers the question, "What is different and new in the new communism?" He walks through the complexity of how a socialist society would "deal with the millions of fascists that will still be in this country after a revolution." How and why the principle that "internationalism—the whole world comes first" would be applied. He talks about working with artists, and why you need "the poetic spirit" to lead a revolution. He answers, "What is communist leadership, and why should people follow your leadership?" 

All this really shatters the lie that this is the best of all possible worlds! And then BA comes right back to the urgent situation we face now, and what people must do and what kind of people we need to become.

A revcom who has been reaching out to professors and intellectuals in academia wrote recently, "I cannot underestimate the impact the fascist clampdown in academia is having in forcing academics I've talked to to begin to seriously confront the reality of a consolidating fascism. This has already compelled them to think in more sweeping terms about society. As part of that, it has opened up a lot more opportunity to get them to engage with BA and contribute to the Campaign for BA's work to reach others. This is not just because BA has a lot of interesting ideas (which he does). But because the degree to which we are able to project his voice out into society and get millions engaging his work, can make a concrete difference in the real world as to what people do and do not do, what they will accept or what they will fight for. This doesn't come without some sharp struggle and persistence but the terrain has changed dramatically on the campuses."

In 2021, in analyzing the rare time where revolution has become more possible, Bob Avakian said: 

As this situation develops, and the ruling class is more and more unable to rule in the old way, society and daily life for masses of people, from different parts of society, can become increasingly unsettled and chaotic, with frequent “disruptions” of the “normal” way things have been.

And as “the normal way” society has been ruled is failing to hold things together—and society is increasingly being ripped apart—this can shake people’s belief that “the way things have always been” is the only way things can be. It can make people more open to questioning—in a real sense it can force people to question—the way things have been, and whether they have to stay that way. And this is all the more likely to happen if the revolutionary forces are out among the people shining a light on the deeper reality of what is happening, and why, and bringing out that there IS an alternative to living this way.

While the situation we are in is extremely dangerous, with the fascist regime moving rapidly to consolidate, millions are questioning and given how drastic, how fast, how horrific the moves of the fascist Trump regime, there is at the same time more of a basis for people to break the hold of thinking and acting on the terms of this system—and to raise their sights to imagining, debating, and working to bring into being a whole different system.

We need to reach widely with the invitation to engage BA's work—and to donate to this work reaching all over right now. BA's work is going up against, and challenging, the status quo... it's challenging the normalization of fascism, it's challenging the America-first chauvinism that too many progressive people are caught up in and it's challenging the acceptance that we just have to work within what is. Because we are going up against what the powers-that-be want you to know, it takes an extra effort to break through. This requires funds, and a fight.

Fundraising is learning what people think, and changing what people think

Here, we want to share a report from someone who was working to engage people with BA's social media and raise funds for the campaign. Through this process of engagement and struggle, you can see how much we can learn—and transform—what people are thinking:

I have had a lot of struggle with people over how serious this moment is and why they have a responsibility to act—including to engage Bob Avakian's work, and donate to the Campaign to get his voice impacting millions. I've talked to over a dozen Black people that I know, raised about $350 so far, gotten pledges totaling at least $200 and possibly more from about six people and a couple people others want to sit down and talk before they donate. Through these discussions, I've learned a lot about how these people are seeing this situation, which is pretty unsettled and in flux. 

A couple of people I spoke with have been upset at how many of the Black people they talk to think they are going to get money or something good from Trump. But in taking this on, they argued, “don’t these people get that after they are done with the immigrants they will come for Black people?”

I talked to someone who was outraged about the attack on birthright citizenship. In response to the arrest and treatment of Mahmoud Khalil, there was a heightened sense among some that “this is fascism and this is just the beginning.” 

Several people I talked to said they are avoiding the news, that it makes them furious and they feel helpless. For some, they fear it just adds to conditions of life that are already overwhelming for them. But as we discussed the outrage and the importance for them to act, to donate to getting out what BA is saying and take it to others—this contributed to lifting their sights from their daily struggles and frustrations to the bigger picture and left them feeling LESS frustrated. 

One person who wants to meet raised important questions about being able to take on the fascists, and what would be required for that. 

Another person said he thinks there is a feeling among Black people that they need to keep their heads down and let white people protest and challenge the fascists. And that Trump won't "listen to" what Black people say if they protest. We struggled about the responsibility EVERYONE has right now in the face of this fascism. We also walked through what it would take and what it would mean if there IS a massive movement that makes the country ungovernable, in opposition to trying to "get the fascists to listen." This person is pretty wedded to thinking and acting on the terms of this system but because the dangers are so serious, wants to talk more and pledged a donation. I've sent them the Interviews with Bob Avakian where he speaks exactly to these questions.

This is all just from an initial round, and there's more to pursue and many others to reach.
