Nearly 100 Killed, 200 Wounded in School Massacre
On August 10, Israel bombed the al-Taba'een school near Gaza City in the north of Gaza, massacring 100 people and injuring 200. Three thousand people were sheltering there, driven from their homes, and hoping that a school would provide some protection from the constant mass terror and death of Israel’s U.S.-supplied bombs. Hasan Almoghani told the New York Times that when he arrived at the scene shortly after the Israeli air strike he said he found the "prayer hall strewn with bodies and body parts over two floors."
Israel "justified” bombing a school by claiming they were targeting 20 “terrorists who were operating in a military headquarters” with “precision weaponry.” Over, and over, and over again, Israel has massacred dozens of children and other civilians by bombing schools and claiming these acts of mass murder and terror are “precision strikes” aimed at a small number of Hamas and Islamic Jihad operatives. This time, Israel waited until civilians sheltering in the school gathered for prayer to bomb the school, timing that could only have been calculated to cause the most civilian deaths.
Other Israeli strikes the same day killed three Palestinians in Al-Nuseirat in central Gaza, one person in nearby Deir Al-Balah, and three Palestinians in Rafah, near the border with Egypt.
More Horrific Details Emerge from Israel’s Sde Teiman Torture Chamber
On August 6, an Israeli TV station, Channel 12, broadcast a video exposing the rape of a Palestinian prisoner by guards at Israel’s horrific Sde Teiman torture chamber. The leaked footage follows a series of exposures from whistleblowers of the most depraved, sadistic, and widespread torture at Sde Teiman, including rape. As outrage spread around the world, Israel felt compelled to detain nine of the guards. After mobs of fascist Zionists stormed the facility where the guards were being questioned, they were released.
As happens every time it is forced to comment on exposures of Israeli crimes against humanity, the U.S. State Department called for Israel to investigate itself. This after officials of the government of Prime Minister Netanyahu (Netan-nazi) explicitly encouraged rape of prisoners, one saying, “If he is a Nukhba [Hamas militant], everything is legitimate to do! Israel’s Germ Warfare Crimes in Gaza Continue and Worsen
Israel’s systematic and ongoing destruction of Gaza’s sewage and waste disposal infrastructure and sources of clean water, along with forced death marches of people from one supposedly “safe zone” to another, continues to spread disease and increase the danger of a polio epidemic.
Skin diseases are running rampant, tormenting children in overcrowded camps. Israel continues to make it impossible for aid agencies to bring polio vaccines into Gaza in sufficient amounts and distribute them. Israel has restricted aid organizations’ access to Gaza, and Israeli forces have repeatedly attacked aid distribution operations, killing hundreds of aid workers.
Israel Dumps Bodies of Killed Palestinians in Gaza, Some Dismembered
On August 5, Israel dumped badly decomposed, unidentified bodies of 80 Palestinians, wrapped in blue plastic, out of a truck onto barren sand near the city of Rafah. Some were bodies of Palestinians who were killed and then taken by the Israeli military. Others were bodies from the many graveyards that the Israeli military dug up and desecrated across Gaza.
