“They’re talking about occupying areas that are packed with so many people…If they do that, there will be incalculable killing. The situation will be more dangerous than anyone can imagine.”

Let it sink in: “Incalculable killing.” “More dangerous than anyone can imagine.”

And that’s not the half of it.

Israel’s government has just voted to take a major leap toward the complete and total decimation of Gaza and the genocide of the Palestinian people.

Israel has already taken control of at least three-quarters of Gaza. On August 8, its security cabinet voted to accept Prime Minister Benjamin “Netan-Nazi” Netanyahu’s plan to launch a massive new military assault to seize the rest—Gaza City in the north, Deir al-Balah and central Gaza, and then anything left. 

When asked about Israel seizing all of Gaza, Trump raised no concerns about mass deaths, starvation or international law. He said that was “going to be pretty much up to Israel”—in other words, "go for it."

Israel’s Blood-Soaked “Evacuations”

Gaza City is the largest city in Gaza, and it is currently home to as many as one million of Gaza’s 2.2 million people. Over 90 percent of Gaza's population have already been displaced, many of them repeatedly, since October 7, 2023. 

Israel has already issued evacuation orders for parts of Gaza City, and satellite images published by NBC show an Israeli military buildup on the edge of the city. U.S. officials say this could mean a new ground offensive is imminent. Their objective—to force the population to leave, go south, and squeeze into the 14-20 percent of Gaza that is not already under Israeli military control or evacuation orders.¹ After that, Israel’s military reportedly plans to seize the rest of Gaza within a few months. 

Israel talks of “evacuating” civilians from Gaza City by October 7, and only then going after any remaining Hamas fighters. They make it sound so orderly and civilized.

Over the last 20 plus months, Israel has already killed at least 61,369 Palestinians—including over 18,000 children—and wounded 152,850 according to official estimates. And the actual number is no doubt far higher. And Israel is forcibly starving the people of Gaza, with increasing numbers of people dying from hunger.

Now, Israel is about to turn Gaza City into a killing field of even more horrific massacres, starvation and destruction. 

When Israel “evacuated” the city of Rafah in May 2024, it deployed tanks, planes, bombs, missiles and troops. “Israel followed up on the initial invasion of Rafah with bombing, randomly massacring families, and filling the sky with smoke,” revcom.us wrote. “More than 800,000 people, already refugees from one, two, three, or six other places, exhausted, without resources, and with nowhere to go have been driven from the city.”²

Now, 972mag.com has exposed how Israel is using killer drones and deliberately assassinating civilians in order to force the population from their homes.

Rafah and other cities have been razed to the ground, turning nearly all of Gaza into a wasteland of rubble, dust and graves: “Seen from the air, Gaza looks like the ruins of an ancient civilisation, brought to light after centuries of darkness. A patchwork of concrete shapes and shattered walls, neighbourhoods scattered with craters, rubble and roads that lead nowhere. The remnants of cities wiped out.”

“The reason you see the flattened buildings is because Hamas booby traps every single building,” Netan-Nazi recently claimed. “After we move in… we put in an APC [armored personnel carrier] with a lot of explosives. Detonate it. It sets off all the booby traps and the buildings begin to collapse.” 

This is yet another screaming lie: Israel has destroyed nearly 70 percent of all buildings in Gaza. An investigation by 972mag.org—‘Render it unusable’: Israel’s mission of total urban destruction—found that “While airstrikes account for mass casualties, bulldozers and explosives are flattening Gaza from the ground — what soldiers say is a systematic campaign to make the Strip unlivable.” (And soldiers describe routinely going into empty buildings, without encountering any booby traps.) 

This is the fate awaiting Gaza City now.

U.S.-Israeli Aid Stations—Sites of “Orchestrated Killing and Dehumanization” 

Israel claims that it will continue to provide food and humanitarian aid to Gazans outside the combat zone. What a sick fucking joke that is.

Israel’s own data shows that because of its ongoing blockade of food, fuel, medicine, water and other needed aid, less food is going into Gaza now than most anytime in the past 20 months, and more and more Palestinians are dying from hunger-related causes. 

As if that weren’t criminal enough, a new report from Doctors Without Borders calls the U.S.-Israeli run Gaza Humanitarian Foundation aid centers sites of “orchestrated killing and dehumanization.” “Children shot in the chest while reaching for food. People crushed or suffocated in stampedes. Entire crowds gunned down at distribution points. In … nearly 54 years of operations, rarely have we seen such levels of systematic violence against unarmed civilians.”³

Now, turning Gaza City into a free-fire zone is only going to disrupt any aid distribution and intensify the starvation and suffering of the people there.⁴

Hamas: Israel’s Cover for Decimating Gaza 

“Given Hamas’s refusal to lay down its arms, Israel has no choice but to finish the job and complete the defeat of Hamas,” Netan-Nazi told a press conference on August 10. “Dismantling the two remaining Hamas strongholds in Gaza City and the central camps—this is the best way to end the war.”

Yet another big bald-faced lie. The truth is that all along, Hamas has been a cover for targeting all the Palestinian people of Gaza. How do we know this? Because Israel has destroyed the ENTIRE CIVILIAN INFRASTRUCTURE, SLAUGHTERED and STARVED the entire population of 2.2 million to the point where:

• “Even if Gazans Overcome Hunger, a Livable Future Seems Out of Reach: The war has laid waste to the entire enclave,” Haaretz reports. “The great majority have no homes to return to. Nor do they have jobs … the factories, offices and stores that once employed them are literally no longer there. The same applies to schools for their children, hospitals and clinics for the sick, and the infrastructure for water, power and communications. It is either gone or severely damaged.”
• “Gaza has been completely destroyed—what more can they do?” said one man whose daughter was killed with her husband and children. “We have lost the best of our youth; our territory is a huge prison besieged by land, sea and air; the destruction has become unbearable; diseases are spreading, tents stretch as far as the eye can see, water is contaminated, prices are insane, hospitals are in ruins, our lives are utterly tragic! What more do they want?” 

What Is This Really About? Hint: NOT Hamas

This is not about liberating “the people of Gaza from the awful terror of Hamas.” It’s not about Israel handing Gaza “over to Arab forces.”⁵

It’s about genocide, so Israel can steal and take over Gaza. On November 20, 2023, we wrote on revcom.us:

The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (aka Netan-Nazi) and Israel’s rulers are seizing on Hamas’s October 7 attack on Israel—which included the war crimes of taking hostages and the murder of civilians—to attempt a “final solution” to the “Palestinian problem.” This means, at a minimum, reducing the Palestinians to such a state that they can no longer pose any obstacle to Israeli objectives. Beyond that, it could mean mass expulsion and/or slaughter on a massive scale, beyond even what they are now carrying out.

This is exactly what we have seen from day one of this U.S.-Israeli genocide—whatever their lies, coverup, and flimsy justifications, THIS has been their plan all along. 

As Palestinian legislator Mustafa Barghouti told Al Jazeera, Netanyahu’s goal “is the destruction of all the Palestinian people.”

Now, Israel’s barbaric military is preparing to send ground troops into Gaza City and forcibly displace hundreds of thousands—if not a million—Palestinians from their homes—then seizing all of Gaza and taking their genocide to a whole other level—including quite possibly forcibly removing the Palestinian people from Gaza itself!

Fascist Trump—All-in on Israel’s Genocide

This past February, at a meeting with Netan-Nazi, Trump declared the U.S. would take over Gaza, expel all the Palestinians and turn the territory into the “Riviera of the Middle East.”

This shocked the world but overjoyed Netan-Nazi. He knew he and Israel had been given a bright green light to escalate their genocide in Gaza. Ever since, the mass murdering lunatics who are running Israel have repeatedly cited “Trump’s plan” as their justification for their towering atrocities.

Small wonder that Netanyahu again checked in with Trump on August 9, to discuss “the plans Netanyahu presented to expand the fighting in Gaza and to "take over Hamas' strongholds.”⁶

“It’s Our War”—We Must Rise Up to Stop It! 

The genocide in Gaza could not be happening without the active, massive backing from the U.S. and in particular the Trump fascist regime. 

As former Columbia professor Rashid Khalidi recently put it:

We, Americans, should be protesting this. The bombs that they dropped on the Red Crescent headquarters, in which one staffer was killed, are American bombs. They have bombed every single hospital in Gaza at least once, and some of them have been completely destroyed. They have destroyed every single university in Gaza. They’ve destroyed water treatment plants. They’ve destroyed sewage treatment plants. This is genocide. And this is American-facilitated, -supported, -financed genocide. The Israelis should stop the war. The Israeli people should rise up. But it is Americans who have to rise up. It is our war. It is our money. These are our bombs. These are our bullets. Every single warplane in the Israeli arsenal is American—F-35, F-15, F-16. Every single combat helicopter is American. They do not do what they’re doing without the United States holding them up. And we must stop this.
