In Something Terrible, Or Something Truly Emancipating: Profound Crisis, Deepening Divisions, The Looming Possibility of Civil War—And the Revolution That Is Urgently Needed, A Necessary Foundation, A Basic Roadmap for This Revolution, the revolutionary leader Bob Avakian wrote that:
“[L]eft to itself”—that is, if the current character and dynamics of all this remain on the same course they are now on—this situation, the divisions characterizing it, and the outcome resulting from it are almost certainly going to become even more terribly negative. So, all this must be radically changed, in what is a relatively brief, “compressed” period of time—not just weeks or months, but also not decades. If things have not already fully erupted before then, the scheduled presidential election of 2024 is very likely to be a critical focal point and turning point, through which the fascist Republicans will attempt to gain and lock down power over society, and put an end to any possibility of a future “transfer of power” away from them. [Emphasis added.]
But that’s not the end of the story. The rest of that work lays out the “road map” for how to navigate through that horror into an emancipatory revolution. And this is what the January 7, 2024 New Year’s Livestream will be all about. The goal of the fundraising Livestream is $25,000.
To make that revolution real—to pose the real and actually only emancipatory alternative between warmongering Genocide Joe and the MAGA-Fascist Donald Trump—funds are urgently needed. Funds to spread The Bob Avakian Interviews on The RNL—Revolution, Nothing Less!—Show on a whole other level than they have been so far. Funds to enable the revcoms to radically step up the struggle. Funds to allow agitators and organizers to travel to where things are the hottest. Funds for going to challenge people where they need to be challenged in the ways they need to be challenged—as part of getting ready for revolution. Funds for the invaluable The RNL—Revolution, Nothing Less! YouTube show and revcom.us.
On the January 7 Livestream, you’ll meet some of those revolutionary agitators and organizers and you’ll learn how you can be part of things—including by regularly raising funds. This Livestream will be a great way to gather new people around to learn about Bob Avakian, the movement for revolution, and the emancipating future we could have. Don’t miss it.
To help build this now, share the video statements promoting the BA Interviews, and the statements from some of those who have donated about why they did. They are here on this site. These bring alive the different perspectives of those who are already part of the revolution in this way. By January 7, we should have many more of these and momentum building for the Livestream itself.
At the same time, don't wait to raise funds for the revolution! All through the holidays, gather people together to watch The BA Interviews, and raise funds for this now.

The reality is that the capitalist class, and all the machinery that keeps imperialism going, it's funded with money. The fundraisers that are highlighted in revcom.us, the fundraisers of the Revolution Clubs, the fundraisers of The RNL Show, all these fundraisers exist to make sure that the revolutionary voice is able to reach broad masses of people in this country and around the world.
There can be no excuse given, if we have funds, that we don't donate. It is our responsibility to donate funds, and to encourage others to donate, and to create mechanisms and ideas and fundraisers so that funds can be raised to maintain the revolutionary struggle.

Every time I see a new image of a child shredded by rubble, or a mother screaming in agony, I feel extreme disappointment for the world I live in and anger at the ruling class who is letting this happen. I ask myself what I can do to actively help these people instead of going along with my day, like they aren’t suffering as I think about them. The only thing that comes to mind is to help the cause for a revolution. Any other thing I could do feels useless.

Every time I watch The RNL Show I think “If only everyone could see this show, they would see not only the horrors that exist in this country and around the world but the need and real possibility of bringing something totally different into being. They would see the leadership provided by Bob Avakian as a way to change people’s thinking and lead people to stand up for the revolutionary change that is needed….
And more to the point, if this show had the money and means to reach out to all the people who right now ARE looking to make a difference, to bring a whole new and emancipating future into being just think how they would be moved and what more could be accomplished. Our forces could multiply. So many more people could be unleashed, our chances would multiply.
