Revolutionary Prisoner Writes on the Righteous Resistance of the Palestinian People

Editors’ note: We at revcom.us periodically publish letters from prisoners on revolutionary theory and struggle, as well as other aspects of human experience and thought, including conditions and struggle within the prisons themselves. We appreciate and learn from all correspondence from the prisons. The opinions in the letters we publish are those of the writers and not necessarily those of revcom.us.

As a prisoner who has developed into a fierce advocate and conscious follower of BA’s leadership, and is continuously striving to exemplify and adhere to the principles contained in the Points of Attention for the Revolution (See POA #4),1 I stand firmly in solidarity with the righteous resistance of the Palestinian people to be free of the illegitimate Israeli occupation, terror, death & destruction. The revolutionary fervor of my outlook and spirit joins with the earth-shaking millions across the globe demanding, “HANDS OFF GAZA!”

The utterly shameful and disgusting way the U.S. mainstream media is framing, justifying and aiming to turn us into either being actively, or passively complicit with the massive pounding and saturation bombing by Israel (fully backed by the ruling class of the U.S.)—slaughtering and uprooting tens of thousands of Palestinians—in response to Hamas’ atrociously reactionary massacre of Israeli civilians back on Oct. 7th, brings into sharp focus BAsics 1:28:

What we see in contention here with Jihad on the one hand and McWorld/McCrusade on the other hand, are historically outmoded strata among colonized and oppressed humanity up against historically outmoded ruling strata of the imperialist system. These two reactionary poles reinforce each other, even while opposing each other. IF YOU SIDE WITH EITHER OF THESE “OUTMODEDS,” YOU END UP STRENGTHENING BOTH2

At this time, it is absolutely crucial that you provide me with the Revolution’s Special Issue: The Case of Israel, Bastion of Enlightenment or Enforcer for Imperialism?,3 so that we can go to work on recasting the terms being set by defining the nature and role of Israel in the world today.

Case Of Israel Bastion Of Enlightenment Or Enforcer Of Imperialism

Three basic and objective facts:

  1. Israel was, and is, literally on the blood, bones and homes of the Palestinian people, stolen through terrorist ethnic cleansing that constitutes a great legal and moral crime.
  2. Israel is a product of, and plays a special role in enforcing the global system of capitalism-imperialism.
  3. The moral foundation on which Israel’s crimes are justified—invoking the Holocaust—is utterly immoral.

As the “We Need And We Demand”4 broadsheet makes resounding clear:  “We can no longer afford to allow these imperialists to continue to dominate the world and determine the destiny of humanity.  And it is a scientific fact that humanity does not have to live this way.”
