Where Your Funds Are Going and the Impact We're Having

While the madness in the world heightens, millions and millions urgently need to hear the revolutionary leader Bob Avakian (BA) who is pointing the way out of this nightmare. 

This is going to be a brief update on the National Campaign to Get @BobAvakianOfficial Everywhere.  We mainly want to point people to read and discuss the short Fundamental Question article in this issue of revcom.us

** Announcing: We are extending the drive to raise $8,000 to promote BA's social media message Revolution #81, Why I Am Not Running for President, through this coming weekend. Those funds and more should be raised by Sunday, September 29. This should enable people to go out even more broadly, and involve more and more people on a mission to raise these funds.

** An update on where your funds are going, and the impact we are having:

We are still learning about how to reach the audiences we want to reach through YouTube advertising, but we're starting to apply what we have learned in this push to spread Bob Avakian's social media message Revolution #81: Why I Am Not Running for President. As you can see from the YouTube video itself, the views have gone WAY UP! This has been made possible through your contributions and your effort to raise funds. Of these 36,000 views, 7,000 people watched the full video. This round we focused on college students, and reaching people who follow "leftist" YouTube channels. Interestingly, of these two target audiences, the college students watched the video more with almost three times as many viewers watching til the end. We can't draw tons from that, but it's an interesting insight into the openness of young people who are thinking about the world right now.

So far, about 130 new people per day over the last 4 days have subscribed to @BobAvakianOfficial on YouTube, and we have only spent $1,500 of our $8,000 goal. So we are well on our way to getting this message before millions by the end of the week if we go all out to raise these funds.

And this is still just one piece of the larger goals of this campaign to get @BobAvakianOfficial everywhere—changing the debate, and the thinking of millions throughout society in this momentous time.

We are at a turning point in history. The capitalist-imperialist system is a horror for billions of people here and around the world and threatening the very fabric of life on earth. Revcom.us projects BA’s voice, leadership, and vision throughout society. It posts his timely leadership for the revcoms (revolutionary communists) and the whole movement for revolution, including his social media posts, and curates his whole body of work. 

Our website applies the scientific approach BA has developed to analyze major events in society and the world—why they are happening, how they relate to each other, how all this relates to the system we live under, where people's interests lie, how revolution is in fact the solution to all this, and what the goals of that revolution are.

Revcom.us acts as a guiding and connecting hub for the revcom movement nationwide: showing what’s being done, digging into what’s right and what’s wrong, and rapidly learning—and recruiting new people into what has to be a rapidly growing force. As part of this, revcom.us feature and promotes the weekly The RNL—Revolution, Nothing Less!—Show on YouTube.com. 

Put it this way: there will be no revolution unless this website not only “keeps going” but rises to a whole different level!
