We are calling on all revcoms—and everyone who wants a whole new world—to begin preparing now for a major effort to PUT REVOLUTION ON THE MAP, beginning on Saturday, October 28 and going through Sunday, November 5. This week will not only further spread the word of this revolution but mark a real step forward in manifesting the organized presence of the revolution. As Bob Avakian said in the film Why We Need An Actual Revolution And How We Can Really Make Revolution:
The organized forces and the leadership of this revolution must become the “authority” that growing numbers of people look to and follow—not the lying politicians and media of this oppressive system—not those who front for the oppressors and preach about “reconciliation” with this system—not those who turn people against each other when they need to be uniting for this revolution. (Emphasis added)
And, very relevant in today’s circumstances: not people promoting capitalist programs and bourgeois aspirations of various kinds, including very poisonous ones.
Some time later this week, revcom.us will post a flyer calling on masses of people to become actively involved in manifesting support for and spreading the word about this revolution, helping to organize activity for this WEEK to put revolution on the map, and becoming part of the organized forces for this revolution.
This activity could include things like:
people helping, in various ways, to distribute the central flyer (as well as WE NEED AND WE DEMAND, A WHOLE BETTER WAY TO LIVE, A FUNDAMENTALLY DIFFERENT SYSTEM and WE ARE THE REVCOMS, and other materials that would be used during this week);
raising funds, including by organizing/holding fundraising activities/events;
helping to poster materials in the neighborhoods broadly, and in the particular housing projects, yards, where they live; at (and in) schools (both in oppressed and better-off areas), and other important sites... and other activities.
The promotion of the leadership of BA and the new communism will be a very important aspect of this WEEK, and the Interviews will have a pivotal role in all this. This would include mass airings of the Interviews with BA, or clips from them, in neighborhoods, on or near school campuses, etc., and programs with the Interviews (or selections from them). As one part of this, The Bob Avakian Institute has called for “a national day to take BA to the campuses.” There are important positive synergies to build on with the “Woke” Lunacy vs. Real Revolution Tour and the The Communist Revolution So Badly Needed… vs. the Anti-Communist Brainwash You’re Getting Tour.
The “central flyer” will also explicitly call on people broadly, in all parts of society—and this would have particular relevance in basic neighborhoods, but with significant resonance in society well beyond that—to observe, as an important manifestation of this WEEK, the principles of the revolution, as concentrated in the Points of Attention for the Revolution.
All this will be done (and we will “broadcast” that this is being done) all over the country, explicitly as part of further building a movement and organized force, for the revolution that is urgently needed—and now more possible—with a countrywide perspective and impacting all of society.
Finally, it should go without saying that all this will necessarily involve fierce, determined struggle, and absolutely no tailing, with basic masses and others (in other parts of society), at the same time as we are strongly and compellingly putting forward the positive, emancipating goal and the uplifting orientation of revolutionary emancipators of humanity.
