Across the country, from October 28 to November 5, the revcoms set out to make revolution known far and wide and to build up organized forces for revolution as part of that, with REVOLUTION—NOTHING LESS! WEEK. This was an intense and concerted nationwide effort to put REAL revolution on the map. 

This week came at a time when, on top of the existing horrors of this system, we are watching the U.S.-backed Israeli genocidal slaughter of the Palestinian people. This is supported by “Genocide” Joe Biden and his fascist counterparts in the Republican Party. But despite their unity on this question, the irreconcilable divides between the rulers of this system are sharpening with the 2024 elections now one year away—elections that could very possibly bring this divide to an all-out crisis... if that doesn't happen even sooner. 

This situation urgently cries out for revolution to overthrow the system of capitalism-imperialism that is the cause of all this tremendous suffering and destruction of life here and around the world. 

As part of preparing for this revolution, the revcoms put out the call “To everyone who can’t stand this world the way it is... who is sick and tired of so many people being treated as less than human… who has ever dreamed of a much better world, or even wondered whether that is possible...” be part of making real revolution known nationwide. 

The main elements of this included—and still include—a challenge to:

** Live by and Fight for the Points of Attention, the Code of the Revolution! 

The revcoms struggled with people to live by, fight for and spread these Points of Attention (POA) all week. A lot was learned about what it changes to wield these as a way that people are stepping into the revolution—up against all the ways this system has people living and thinking.

The first attempt at manifesting with these was marked by real problems, but as people summed this up and the week went on, more was learned about how to set terms with the POA. In that, the interview on The RNL Show with the revcom Joe Veale brings this powerfully to life.

** Get with Bob Avakian (BA), the Leadership We Have for the Revolution We Need! 

The BA Institute began a great new thing on Wednesday, November 1: Take BA to Campus Day. The idea was to spread the Constitution for the New Socialist Republic in North America, the BA Interviews, and BA's recent analysis of the Israeli war on Gaza to the campuses. Here too, a lot was learned—positive and negative—about the need to fully lead with the importance of Bob Avakian as a radically different kind of leader who has brought forward a whole new framework of human emancipation.

** Stand Against the U.S.-Backed Israeli War on Palestine! 

The revcoms were focused on bringing forward and leading people in the neighborhoods of the most oppressed to stand up against these crimes—on the basis of fighting for a whole new way to live. Many dozens of people signed banners that said, “From South Central (or South Shore, Chicago... or Third Ward Houston... or Harlem)... to Palestine, We Need a REAL Revolution.” There were small but militant marches through these neighborhoods to demand Stop the U.S.-Backed Israeli War on Palestine! We Need and We Demand: A Whole New Way to Live, a Fundamentally Different System! 

In some ways, this week broke important new ground, but it fell short of what was needed and possible in this period—and to that end, we are extending this effort three more days, to build on what was accomplished and to make real advances in manifesting the organized presence of the revolution. 

This will include a POA day this Monday, November 6—to bring people together to represent for the Points of Attention for the Revolution. And The Bob Avakian Institute is reissuing its call for an additional Take BA to the Campuses Day on Wednesday, November 8, and developing new materials to assist in this (see here).
