“My son is 8 years old. What wrong did he commit? He was leaving his school. He was leaving school. This is his bag with blood on it.”

This is just one of the 985 Palestinians that Israel has killed since the U.S.-brokered “ceasefire” between Israel and Hamas on October 11, 2025.1 This Trump-backed ceasefire supposedly ended Israel’s two-year-long genocide in Gaza. Instead, that genocide is continuing with most of the world either turning a blind eye—or in the case of the fascist Trump regime—actively supporting Israel’s ongoing crimes. The blood, cries, mass death, thirst and hunger of the Palestinian people is absent from major U.S. media, and has been largely censored and silenced on social media. And too many in the U.S. are allowing themselves to look away.

The Trump-brokered ceasefire was supposed to end all the fighting. Instead, it has meant that Israel’s genocidal killing spree just isn’t proceeding as quickly. As Drop Site News recently documented:
* Israel has committed over 3,200 ceasefire violations.
- It has launched 1,400 airstrikes and shelling attacks and carried out over 1,200 shooting attacks.
- Nearly 1,000 Palestinians have been killed and 3,104 wounded.
- The mass murder is not tapering off: it’s escalating. May was the deadliest month yet in 2026—over 119 were killed, including 19 children.
Escalating Killing, Escalating All-Around Genocide
“We don’t see any hope…There is no life here. There is no water. They stopped the community kitchens. They even cut the municipal water supply to us…They have taken everything from us. They have taken away the possibility for life.”

Trump's "Board of Peace"—proposed in 2025—was formally established (charter signed) in January 2026. This new international body was set up by the fascist Trump to allegedly oversee the ceasefire and the reconstruction of Gaza. Trump promised that aid would once again flow into Gaza, and that rebuilding could begin.
Israel and the U.S. have made sure none of this happened and that the genocide continued:
- “While more aid is making its way into the territory, Palestinians are still sleeping in tents, the rat-infested rubble has not been cleared,” the New York Times reports.
- Only 36 percent of the aid agreed upon in the ceasefire and only 15 percent of fuel deliveries have so far entered Gaza
- “The World Food Program estimates that 77% of Gaza’s population face acute food insecurity, including 100,000 children and 37,000 pregnant women suffering from acute malnutrition,” according to Drop Site.
Seizing Ever More Palestinian Land
The ceasefire agreement allowed Israeli forces to remain in 53 percent of the narrow sliver of land that’s the Gaza Strip, with the provision that they would gradually withdraw from most all of Gaza. Instead, Israel expanded its stranglehold and now controls some 60 percent of Gaza. Recently Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu ordered Israel’s military to seize another 10 percent of Gaza, and it’s reportedly planning for a new, large-scale military assault on Gaza.
“Nearly two million Palestinians currently live in Gaza, and the takeover of an additional 10 percent of the territory is not just a technical matter for them,” the Israeli newspaper Haaretz reports. “For many Gazans, both the displaced and those remaining in their homes, this is not merely a military issue, but a question about their ability to continue living in the Strip.”
Trump’s Board of Genocide
Trump's so-called "Board of Peace" was tasked by the UN to monitor this agreement between Israel and Hamas. The Board itself is made up lackeys to imperialism and in an utterly illegitimate imperial move, is headed by Trump himself. So what has the response of this Board been to Israel’s rampant ceasefire violations and ongoing genocide? To support Israel and target Hamas (which has largely adhered to the ceasefire)!
Why is the Trump regime facilitating Israel’s depraved genocide? The revolutionary leader and author of the new communism, Bob Avakian, gets to the heart of the matter in his social media message #35 (Ending Apartheid as Part of Ending All Oppression—South Africa is Not a “Model”):
Maintaining Israel as a “western-oriented” state is of decisive importance for the U.S. imperialists, and in turn the Zionist (Jewish supremacist) nature of Israel is of critical importance in maintaining Israel as this bastion of support for U.S. dominance, especially in opposition to the influence of Iran—and beyond that Russia, and increasingly China—in this strategic region.
And the Zionist, Jewish supremacist nature of the state of Israel has driven it to brutally oppress the Palestinian people, from its birth by terror and ethnic cleansing 78 years ago up to today, and its barbaric, criminal genocide in Gaza.
