Latest From DC: Trump Takes Over “Law Enforcement” in the City

On Monday, August 11, Trump announced that he was taking over the Washington, DC police department. He said he would deploy the National Guard and even the FBI in the streets of DC. Trump threatened that these forces would "knock the hell out of" anyone who, in their estimation, they suspected of committing a crime. Forget about trials, gangs of heavily armed thugs would administer Trump's NAZI brand of justice. These were barely disguised code words for "brutally and lawlessly going after Black youth... with a vengeance." Trump also announced that homeless people would be swept out of the city to an undisclosed location, another NAZI-style measure. And he strongly implied that he would apply the same fascist program to other cities with Democratic mayors—mentioning Chicago by name. In other words, Trump was announcing his plan to take over the police and other organs of violent enforcement in the cities run by his elected opponents. This is FASCISM—and this announcement was a major leap in how it is being forced into place. There is NO LIVING WITH THIS FASCISM! Now more than ever, THE TRUMP FASCIST REGIME MUST GO!!
