While we are still collectively wrangling with, and beginning to formulate, ways to implement the road map laid out in BA's major new talk, “Something Terrible, Or Something Truly Emancipating,” we are not waiting to have everything sorted before we can identify some key things that we need to get working on now.
1) If you are in an area where you can be part of the Revolution Club mass meetings on February 5 or 6, check out this flyer here. These mass meetings are one important form for “Organizing people into this revolution... reaching out to all sorts of people… spreading the word about revolution and getting people together (in real life and online) to grapple with why an actual revolution is necessary, what such a revolution involves, and what kind of society this is aiming for.” (From A Declaration, A Call To Get Organized NOW For a Real Revolution)
2) One focus will be setting our sights on having major impact on International Women's Day (IWD). Please share any thinking you have on how this IWD needs to be marked in a way that manifests: Break ALL the Chains! Unleash the Fury of Women as a Mighty Force for Revolution.
3) We urge you to pull together discussion circles that are regularly watching The RNL—Revolution, Nothing Less!—Show together as part of applying the organizational model in the Declaration—groupings that are making plans together to spread the revolution, and grappling with why a revolution is necessary, what a revolution involves and what it's aiming for... training people to become organizers (and leaders in this revolution) themselves.
To the greatest extent possible, we should immediately be watching with people, including new people we are just meeting, last week’s episode of The RNL Show. This was a particularly strong episode, especially on the role of the Revolution Club. And overall, we want to develop a much closer relationship between the show and our work.
