On October 13, Trump celebrated his Gaza deal, first addressing Israel’s Knesset (legislature) and then traveling to Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt for a summit with leaders from some two dozen countries, mainly in the Middle East.
As revcom.us has analyzed (HERE and HERE), the fascist Trump’s “peace plan” isn’t about ending Israeli genocidal oppression of the Palestinian people and ensuring their rights, much less their liberation. It’s about maintaining their oppression and subjugation, strengthening Israel, and extending U.S. imperialist domination of the globally strategic Middle East. And all this is based on having unleashed Israel’s Gaza genocide on a whole new level, beyond what even “Genocide Joe” Biden and the Democrats did when they were in power.

The revolutionary leader Bob Avakian captures Trump’s approach to humanity and the world in his social media message REVOLUTION #114, Defeating Trump/MAGA fascism: Looking to some future elections... or working now to mobilize millions around this powerful unifying demand: The Trump fascist regime must go!:
Trump fascism is a regime that openly and aggressively strips away basic rights and blatantly declares that there is no rule of law and due process of law other than what it dictates, and that raw destructive power is what must rule in the international arena, without even the pretense of adherence to international law or concern about the sovereignty, or even the right to exist, of less powerful peoples and countries.
It is a regime that is bent on unleashing unregulated and unfettered capitalist plunder…
All this was on display during Trump’s recent “victory lap.”
Trump & Netanyahu are genocidal maniacs
In Israel he told the audience dominated by rabid, pro-genocide Zionists, “You’ve won. I mean, you’ve won.” He added, “Now it is time to translate these victories against terrorists on the battlefield into the ultimate prize of peace and prosperity for the entire Middle East.”
But Netanyahu didn’t praise Trump as a “peace maker.” He praised him for greenlighting Israel’s genocide by “fully back[ing] my decision" to send the Israeli army into Gaza City, and helping counter the global wave of condemnation against Israel with Trump's "peace" plan. Netan-Nazi lauded Trump as the “greatest friend” Israel has ever had in the White House.1
In Egypt, before his rogue’s gallery of tyrants, torturers and pro-U.S. mass murderers, Trump didn’t discuss Israel’s atrocities in Gaza or the Palestinians' basic rights under international law, he encouraged countries in the region to normalize ties with the Israeli apartheid state. “The Trump Declaration for Enduring Peace and Prosperity,” signed by Trump and the leaders of Egypt, Qatar and Turkey, spelled this out. It focused on ensuring Israel’s security and fostering its ties with other countries. It also discussed dismantling “extremism and radicalization.” While this phrase includes Islamic fundamentalist forces which oppose the U.S. from their own reactionary viewpoints, that phrase would take in a great many progressive activists, many of whom are secular. But what unites the forces that the U.S. wants to "dismantle" is opposition to Israel, U.S. imperialism, and the U.S.-backed butchers in power across the Middle East.
This whole system is rotten and illegitimate. We need and we demand: a whole new way to live, a fundamentally different system!
