Join RefuseFascism.org on Saturday, June 14 in Washington, D.C. at 1pm at Logan Circle. Participate in a NOT TRUMP’S ARMY Veterans Contingent to lead a march to the White House. On this day, in D.C. and across the country, our voices will ring out with the demand: THE TRUMP FASCIST REGIME MUST GO NOW!
Trump's June 14th Military Parade is a major move to create an army loyal not to the rule of law, but to Trump personally—with all the racism, misogyny and his MAGA “America First” hate this involves.
We the undersigned veterans, reflecting a diversity of political views, will march and stand with Refuse Fascism on June 14th in Washington, D.C. in a non-violent permitted march to the White House in the afternoon before his Trump’s Parade with the mission and morality of:
IN THE NAME OF HUMANITY, WE REFUSE TO ACCEPT A FASCIST AMERICA!
Ralph N, U.S. Navy veteran:
I spent 20 years protecting this country and the constitution. I loved my country, even with its flaws. I am embarrassed how our allies are being treated with so much disrespect. I have witnessed a fascist regime destroy it all for personal wealth without any regard for “We the people.”
Kaptain, U.S. Army veteran:
In support of the liberation of all humanity, I, a US Army veteran, will be walking with Refuse Fascism on June 14 in DC in opposition to the fast-moving consolidation of power that the Trump regime is undergoing. Donald Trump’s military parade is a continued assault on the rights of the people and of the US Constitution. Any momentum of this regime would have, and currently is having, devastating consequences for the people of the world. Trump’s federal agents, sanctioned and unsanctioned, are illegally grabbing people off the streets. For them there is no due process granted, and for some, torture prisons in El Salvador and elsewhere await their deportation. The cruel separation of infants and small children from their mothers and families to be deported alone and terrified, to countries unknown to them. Trump’s continual defiance of court orders, and intent on removing federal judges opposing his fascist agenda, replacing them with sycophants. The turning back of women’s right to abortion in much of the country. The boisterous and vociferous voice of MAGA fanatics and science-deniers to eliminate trans people. Trump’s fight in the Supreme Court as I write this, to eliminate birthright citizenship is a further threat. And the very fact that neither the Democratic Party nor any other group is giving clear, consistent, and challenging messaging is problematic. For these reasons, I look to the leadership of the revolutionary Bob Avakian, boldly speaking of the horrors of this system from which fascism stems and the needed sustained movement of millions to oust this regime.
Matt M, USAF veteran:
I served in the United States Air Force during the cold war and enjoyed working for Commanders in Chief that respected military personnel and our constitution. Airman, Seaman and Soldiers deserve to have a clear mission without political shenanigans and leadership that is focused on protecting US citizens and our allies from dangerous players like Russia, China and North Korea. The current president and his leadership team have very little regard for our military community or long-time allies and lack the most important quality for high command — lead by example. I believe that the xenophobic policies and disregard for human rights of the current administration are contrary to values of our country and hope my fellow veterans and active-duty personnel will refuse fascism and support our delicate democracy!
Carl Dix, Vietnam War era veteran:
On June 14, I will be marching with Refuse Fascism raising the demand: Trump Must Go Now!
Trump’s military parade is a celebration of kidnapping and deporting college students for protesting the US/Israeli genocide in Gaza and deporting immigrants to torture prisons in other countries without due process. A celebration of Trump defying court orders and doubling down on America’s history of white supremacy, male supremacy, USA #1 xenophobia, and more.
In 1970, after thinking about the example of someone who defied unjust orders, I refused orders to go to Vietnam and be part of carrying out a genocidal war. I refused those orders, spending 2 years in Leavenworth penitentiary. Now, Trump is out to transform the military to be loyal to him and his fascist program. Everyone with a conscience should be in Washington D.C. on June 14 to refuse to accept a fascist America.
James, Iraq War veteran:
The Army I served in represented the entire country, regardless of race, class, or religion. We believed we were a part of something bigger than ourselves, and bigger than politics. We were Americans first. Not thugs a draft dodging tyrant would march in parades out of North Korea to intimidate the American people. I hope the Army I remember still exists.
