Read the basic call to be part of making REAL REVOLUTION known everywhere.
As we wrote before, this week will not only further spread the word of this revolution but mark a real step forward in manifesting the organized presence of the revolution. As Bob Avakian said in the film Why We Need An Actual Revolution And How We Can Really Make Revolution:
The organized forces and the leadership of this revolution must become the “authority” that growing numbers of people look to and follow—not the lying politicians and media of this oppressive system—not those who front for the oppressors and preach about “reconciliation” with this system—not those who turn people against each other when they need to be uniting for this revolution. (Emphasis added)
And, very relevant in today’s circumstances: not people promoting capitalist programs and bourgeois aspirations of various kinds, including very poisonous ones.
Wherever you are, in big cities and small towns across the country, be part of these efforts:
** Live by, and fight for the Points of Attention for the Revolution, the Code of the Revolution, and get these up on walls all over your area.
** Help distribute WE NEED AND WE DEMAND: A WHOLE BETTER WAY TO LIVE, A FUNDAMENTALLY DIFFERENT SYSTEM; WE ARE THE REVCOMS; and posters about The Bob Avakian (BA) Interviews on The RNL—Revolution, Nothing Less!—Show
** Watch The BA Interviews with people—on the spot and in more formal screenings—on streetcorners, backyards, community centers or nice theaters. These will be a major anchor of all our efforts.
** Raise funds, including by organizing/holding fundraising activities/events.
** Poster materials in the neighborhoods broadly, and in the particular housing projects, yards, where you live; at (and in) schools (both in oppressed and better-off areas); and other important sites.
** Send us reports, pictures, videos, ideas, and questions. Write to GetOrganizedforRevolutionTour@gmail.com or DM @therevcoms
The key thing in all this: get out boldly and broadly among masses of people, right from the start of the week, and continuously, drawing in more masses and building momentum through the course of the week.
Here are the key national focal points to organize wherever you are:
** Monday, October 30, 4-7 pm (or another day early in the week depending on how you want to mark Halloween)
A MOBILE MARCH OR MANIFESTATION WITH THE POINTS OF ATTENTION FOR THE REVOLUTION (POA)
These could be marches and/or short rallies in basic neighborhoods of focus. These POA concentrate the future we're fighting for, and how to live today as part of getting to that future. All throughout the week, these POA will be a central focus, point of struggle and mass form of getting organized with the revolution (including living by them this week).
** Wednesday, November 1
Take BA to Campus Day called for by The BA Institute
All day, outreach and impact to the campuses and elite high schools with the Interviews, and key elements of BA's fuller body of work.
BA has developed a new communism, a framework for human emancipation and a strategy for making a real revolution. He's written the Constitution for the New Socialist Republic in North America, which provides a sweeping vision and concrete blueprint for building a whole new society on a completely different foundation, with a radically different economic system and emancipating relations among people. Who BA is, and the work he's done, and the revolutionary leadership he is providing comes through in The BA Interviews. Spreading the word about—and engagement with—these Interviews should be at the heart of this day.
Breaking open this serious engagement with BA, and real debate and discussion about his work and leadership, can change the whole intellectual landscape throughout society. This is the mission of The BA Institute—projecting and promoting the works and vision of Bob Avakian with the aim of reaching the broadest possible audience.
** Thursday, November 2
Collective viewings of The RNL Show, which airs every Thursday at 5 pm PT, 7 pm CT, 8 pm ET. These could be centralized or decentralized—on a campus, backyard showing, your center or bookstore... you all decide. The BA Interviews will be a feature of this special episode of The RNL Show.
** Friday, November 3
Nationwide late afternoon/dinnertime demonstrations and marches in a key neighborhood of the oppressed, with the slogans:
From South Central (or from South Side Chicago, or from Harlem, or from 3rd Ward, etc.) to Palestine, People Need Revolution!
Stop the U.S.-Backed Israeli War on Palestine
We Need and We Demand: A Whole New Way to Live, a Fundamentally Different System!
Doing this together, on a single day, with real mass participation in various forms, would mark an important juncture—representing a culmination of masses that have been impacted and involved throughout the week, with national impact. (Also, you could make that banner the weekend of October 28/29 and take it wherever you go throughout the week, encouraging people to sign the banner, to make a contribution so it can spread—this too is a form of participation in, and collective impact with, the revolution.)
** FUNDRAISING DINNERS/EVENTS/CELEBRATIONS:
In addition to what's here, you should plan on times to pull people together for various fundraising dinners, or activities—at the beginning of the week, at the end of the week... however you see fit. In these gatherings, include collective viewings of clips from The BA Interviews.
Raising funds is a necessary part of organizing forces for revolution. People may want to contribute to a dinner, take up a fundraising project, carry around a revolutionary change jar where they collect smaller donations from friends and family.
